Nightmares (part 1)

"Wooyoung," Yeosang whispers yells as he shakes Wooyoung awake at 1:23am, "get up! Come on! Wooyoung! Wake up already! Something's wrong with Jongho!!"

And that makes Wooyoung wide awake.

"WHAT," Wooyoung exclaims a bit too loudly before being shushed by Yeosang, "what do you mean, hyung? What's wrong with our Jongho?"

"I think he's having a nightmare, Wooyoung. I need you to go get Seonghwa hyung while I try to calm him down."

Wooyoung nods, stands up, gives Yeosang a comforting kiss, and rushes out of their room.

Seonghwa wakes up to Wooyoung shaking him softly, yet aggressively. Of course he's frustrated at first, thinking it's some sort of prank, but then he registers the look on the younger's face and immediately becomes concerned.

"Wooyoungie," Seonghwa worriedly whispers, careful not to wake up Hongjoong, "what's wrong? Why are you waking me up at ...... 1:27am?"

"Yeosang hyung told me to get you, we think Jongho's having a nightmare, a bad one."

And now Seonghwa's wide awake.

Careful not to wake the leader curled up on the other side of their makeshift double bed, Seonghwa quickly gets out of bed and makes his way to Yeosang, Wooyoung, and Jongho's room.

The sight he sees when he opens the door breaks his heart.

A somehow still asleep Jongho is being tightly held by Yeosang as the maknae flails, sobs, whimpers, and gasps. None of the boys know how he's still sleeping through this, but he is.

Seonghwa approaches Yeosang's bed, which Yeosang moved Jongho to (you might not believe it, but it actually calmed him down a bit), and sits down beside the two. Yeosang scoots over a bit before handing his youngest boyfriend to his oldest boyfriend.

Seonghwa begins to gently rock Jongho in his arms and then, after a few moments of just the maknae's distressed noises filling the room, he softly hums BTS's Life Goes On. Wooyoung and Yeosang join in as Jongho begins to calm down, relaxing in the arms of his oldest boyfriend.

Yeosang and Wooyoung push the other beds against Yeosang's to make one big bed and climb on with the other two. The three of them are able to wake up the still softly crying Jongho. The youngest gasps awake and clings tighter to Seonghwa, suddenly sobbing again.

"Hy-hyungs," Jongho sobs out, "you're here? I thought he got you! I tho- I thought-"

Jongho's own sobs cut him off and he clings to Seonghwa while reaching for the other two. Although they tensed at the mention of him, they still snuggled up close to the maknae, knowing he needs the comfort.
