the teen stared off at the stars dotting the sky above, the cool summer night's air biting at any skin poking through the school's uniform. they sighed. the day had been less than desirable for someone their age.

for a bit of context, they were avoiding their house like the plague. the reason behind this is that they had gotten in a nasty argument with their father about something small.

'shit shit shit, he hates me now.'

was the only thing they could think through the bland and miserable school day.

the teen sighed and looked around, before their eyes landed on the small apartment building that housed them and their father.

'he wouldnt mind if i stayed out a liiittle longer.. right? '

the teen thought, thus (impulsively) deciding to sit up from the creaky bench they had sat on and deciding to start a trek to find the perfect spot to avoid home, further postponing both dinner and changing to fresh clothes.
  nothing could go wrong, right?

the bag hung losely off of y/n's shoulder as they walked, grinning and not losing hold of the sudden burst of energy lead by a so-called rebellion against their father and his, as stayed by y/n, "bullshit rules to keep me cooped up in that stuffy ass house".

the wind brushed through the teen's h/l, h/c hair as they scouted for the perfect spot to stay and relax for a bit. every once in a while their eyes would dash around the view, and briefly check out each potential spot before deciding that area isnt perfect for them.

after about 15 minutes of walking, y/n was about ready to give up on finding a spot. but, as if some other-worldly being had decided to help them through this predicament, the teen spotted a small clearing past some trees and rose bushes.

they pushed through the bushes, careful as to not get poked by any of the roses' thorns. once they were past the 'defenses', what they saw next made their jaw drop in shock.

in front of the the teen sat a small field that was full of all kinda of flowers and a small clearing. inside the clearing sat a small wooden bench, one of the ones you would see in a Disney movie from the 90's with metal legs and arm rests, which was situated under an oak tree.

the h/c-nette walked to the clearing, their eyes catching every color and movement around them as they avoided stepping on as many flowers as possible.

excitment now practically flowed from the teen's form standing in the moon-lit field, as they spun around a few times while giggling like a child. the only thing on their mind at the moment was just about how many different flowers were surrounding them while off in their own world.

y/n soon collapsed onto the bench, which was kept surprisingly neat regarding the fact this place seemed unaffected by human polution. the teen decided that now would be a good time to pull out their phone. they anxiously checked their messages for any foul language from their father, of which there were (fortunately) none. they once again giggled before plugging in their headphones and listening to music while laying on the bench and staring at stars.

they soon dozed off into a dream, one that they would hopefully enjoy.

unknown to y/n at the time, they were in for a surprise when they awoke.
