Adopt a Child

"This is the smartest one we got. She doesn't say much, but... she's a good kid." The caretake shows a little child with pink hair and hair accessories on the side. 'Creepy little brat weirds me out. This is my chance to get her outta here.' "Greet the man, Anya!"

"Ahh... Perhaps not." Looking at the little girl he thinks 'You must be at least six to enroll at Eden academy. This girl looks four, five at the oldest...'

"Six!"

"Hmm?"

Her legs started to shiver at the man's glance, she then ran shouting "Y/n-Nii I need the newspaper"

Then a girl came out. She had ombre pink to green hair, she had her hair in plaits, and she had a permanent blush on her face.

"Oh hi," she said to Loid then sifted towards Anya "Why do you need it"

"I just need"

"Ok, but don't rip it" she hands the newspaper to Anya, and then Anya turns the page to where to crossword was and points and it.

"The crossword puzzle? That might be a little tough for you." Loid says in his normal monotone voice. While he continues to think of what the answers are Anya effectively finishes the crossword puzzle.

"You finished it?! Seriously?!" loid exclaimed then quickly calmed down 'who taught you that

"WAHH Anya good job I knew you could do it" the ombre-haired girl exclaimed hugging Anya.

'This is a stunning level of intellect! This girl should be able to ace the entrance exam!' "I'll take this one! Now, about the paperwork..."

"don't worry about it just take her and get outta here.

Loid turns to the six-year-old "Is this okay with you?"

"I-I-I-I need Y/n-Nii" Anya points to Y/n

"WHAT" Y/n exclaims.

Loid looks and thinks for a second 'Desmond has two sons the older one is fifteen, and she looks around that age so it will be perfect for them making friends with one the older and the younger a higher chance for the success he turns back to Anya "Ok, I'll also take her"

"WAAHHHH, I mean sure I'd love to go but that was so quick" Shaking her hands defensively Infront of her. He turns to both girls and asks.

"Is that all?" 'Child Acquired Mission Accomplished. Suddenly I'm worried that everything is going too smoothly.' All Anya hears is "Spy Mission" Anya says to herself, but Y/n hears and nods to answer loids questions.

Y/N Pov

Right now, we are standing outside of an apartment building but those words Anya said are still stuck in my head what did she mean by 'Spy mission' he looks like an ordinary man though I must say he has kept his guard up and looking around every so often. We stop at the bottom of the stairs he turns to us and speaks.

"Listen up girls-" he starts before getting cut off by Anya.

"It's Anya!" and she looks up at me.

"OH, um Y/n" I manage to blurt out. I sigh in my head Anya; you please don't put me on the stop like that again.

"Listen up, Anya, Y/n" He starts I wonder what this is about. "You'll be my children from now on. But as far as everyone else is concerned, you have always been my children. Is that clear?" I sweat drop from his statement no wonder Anya was saying spy mission has he never been around children?

"Clear" Anya said with sparkles in her eyes. Oh, Anya, you don't get he's just using us for the mission until he finishes, then dumps us back at some crappy orphanage, but anyways I might as well help him I mean he needs help taking care of kids. I just nod.

"You are to address me as "father."

"Papa!" Anya's Face filled with so much colour and happiness I wish she could stay like that forever a nice innocent child.

I just reply with a simple "Ok, father."

(POV Changes back to the normal one)

We go inside and we see an elderly lady walking in the other direction and greet her. "What an adorable young lady" she gushed.

"We're the forger we just moved in today." Loid started then Anya started talking.

"I'm Anya and I have always been papa's child." 'You don't have to say that' Y/n noticing how uncomfortable the situation became laughs awkwardly.

"Haha, I'm Y/n what Anya meant was that he's a very good father always taking care of us, and if you need anything were just down the hall." 'Ok that hopefully see doesn't assume anything weird anymore. This is a hassle making us look normal, what a drag.'
