Inumaki POV

Gojo stuck out his hand for me to take.

I couldn't feel my hands and feet anymore. All I could see was myself? I looked down in horror as Inumaki- or should I say 'I' slapped Dad's hand out and stuck out my tongue.

Then, I felt my throat tingling and my vision blurry from tears. Great. Why does my other self leave me with all the consequences? My head snapped up when I heard a slight sniffle. It wasn't me. It was Dad.

"I'll leave you now Toge." Dad said, his voice cracking off at the end.

"Wait!"

It was the one of the only 'proper' words I had ever said and Dad didn't bat an eyelash before exiting. What had I done? Tears formed, and a nauseous feeling crept up my throat. I decided that a calming walk in the Jujutsu garden would be nice, after all the last thing I needed was someone knocking on my door, telling me to come spar with them. I opened my door, hoping that Panda and Maki weren't there, and that the hinges would move quietly.

Skrreeeee.

My eyes widened. Crap! The hinges squealed like a curse that was crying, and Maki and Panda's heads turned to me.

"Don't move!" I yelled, before bolting out of the building.

I didn't feel like moving. I didn't want to eat. I wasn't feeling particularly sad. I decided to place myself inside the tall bamboo plants. I felt the cool breeze tickle my cheek and the bamboo waltzing with the wind, creating a soothing beat. I remembered how pretty bamboo could be.

Flashback

"Toge! Let's go for a walk!" My mother called.

"Why? I feel fine right here."

"Come on. I'll get you some takoyaki later."

"Fine. Only because of the takoyaki though."

I got my fluffy coat my mother gave me and my mother held my cold hand against her warm one.

"Toge, why is your hand so cold when you were inside sheltered from the cold?"

"Well, I could ask you why your hand is so warm, despite working on your peonies all morning in the garden."

"Haha. Toge, you always try to outsmart me somehow." My mother laughed, ruffling my pearly locks.

"Oh, Okasa. What's that?"

"It's bamboo Toge."

"Oh. Well, it is quite nice."

"Yes. Toge, we've been here for an hour. Are you sure you don't want to go back?"

"No. Let's stay here Okasa."

"Fine. Fifteen more minutes."

"Huh? What's that?"

A black and white ball of fluff was sitting on the floor, nibbling at the coarse bamboo at the bottom.

"It's a panda."

"Oh. It's so..."

"Cute?"

"Yes. Could I pet it Okasa?"

"Come on Toge. Let's just leave it alone. If we stay, you'll get chills tomorrow."

"Fine."

End of Flashback

Gojo POV

I sighed. Inumaki was mature for his age. Why would he suddenly have such a childish outburst?

Knock. Knock. Knock knock.

"Come in." I sighed.

"Now Gojo. Don't make me feel like an old man. You aren't nearly as old as I am and you're already sighing? Don't tell me you'll get wrinkles next." Principal Yaga teased.

"Principal Yaga? Why are you here?"

"Well, to begin with..."

"Wait. Who's that man beside you? Another sorcerer? Student? Teacher?"

"Shut up. What in Jujutsu's name did you do to Inumaki?"

"Inumaki? What do you mean?"

"His soul is damaged."

"Wait how? Did he ask for a soul scan from Ieriri or something?"

"No. We have Ejiro here."

"Who?"

Principal Yaga pushed forward the scrawny looking person standing beside him. He looked like he hadn't slept in weeks, and his hair was soft, despite its unruly appearance. He had piercing red eyes that shook your soul.

Principal Yaga sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Eijiro can see your soul."

"What? Is that a technique?"

"No he was simply born with it."

"Anyway, why's Inumaki's soul damaged?"

"Well, it seems his soul had been deteriorating for years, but something triggered the breaking of his soul." Eijiro explained.

"Which essentially means he's extremely depressed and probably suicidal." Principal Yaga finished off.

Gojo POV

Toge.

His soul was deteriorating and I didn't even notice.

I looked at him hurt and thought that he was so frustrating and wanted him to disappear for a moment. Now what if he actually does? I felt my eyes blurring and I didn't do anything. I just sat there.

Principal Yaga POV

Good grief. I swear that I will kill Gojo later on. Even I can't even crack  a soul even if I tried and he broke one unintentionally. What am I going to do with this man? Eijiro gave me a gentle nudge and pointed at Gojo. His cheery smile was gone. His body was slouched.

"His soul is cracking really fast." Ejiro told me.

I looked at Gojo again. That couldn't be him. The Gojo I knew always had smile, and didn't cry, unless shedding a few crocodile tears. I opened the door and walked to my office. I couldn't deal with this now. I pulled out a plush doll I had made yesterday. I sighed. I really wonder what was going on with the son and father duo.
