The first thing that hits them when they walk into Heartslabyul is the nearly overpowering scent of flowers; saccharine, fresh flowers. They wrinkle their nose and sneeze, thinking that it smells somewhat like a perfume they'd smell back at home.
Fake.
Very, very fake.
They nervously walk forward, finding themselves lost in a rose maze. They stumble as they make their way around the bushes, peering at the white roses, some of them dyed a ruby red, others the color of a rich wine, some still dripping with the crimson paint Yuu presumed they used to dye the roses such a bright color. Yuu smiles at the beautiful sight, lush green gardens, vibrant roses...
It was no wonder the boys didn't want them to come here. If they came here a month ago, Yuu thinks they might have never left, Heartslabyul being ten times more well-kept and prettier than their sad little dorm.
They hum a little bit as they skip through, a familiar song from Ace and Deuce's home country that the boys taught them when they first came here, as a way to make them relax in the new environment.
"Painting the roses red~" They giggle, nearly knocking over a bucket of paint in the process. They stumble as they fall forward, their hand going into the substance. They let out a yelp when they realize how warm it was, likely from being left out in the sun.
They try to shake off the feeling of unease that rises in their stomach as a strong metallic scent hits their nose. They shakily lift their hand to give it a whiff when they decide against it, shaking their head.
"It's a magic thing..." They gulp dryly. "It's... they would never..." Yuu wipes their hand on their pant leg, continuing through the garden. They hit a spot where the roses are mostly white, not a single bucket in sight and they take a breath.
"Ace!" They call out, cupping their hands around their mouth. "Deuce! Hey, guys!"
Yuu continues to yell the boy's names until they reach the dorm itself, slowly walking through the large entrance that seems to cast a shadow over the whole walkway, casting a chill down their spine.
"Hello?" They call out nervously. "Hello?" They see a smaller boy wearing the same uniform as their beloved friends and they excitedly wave to him, noticing how the boy ducks his head and scurries away, footsteps disappearing down the winding hallway. "Oh... I'm sorry," They mumble after him, afraid they had somehow frightened the boy.
They hear a shout and race down the hallway towards the sound, heart in their throat as they try to help whoever was calling out for a savior. They weren't normally one for heroism, especially in this strange world, but if Ace and Deuce were there... or they knew where their precious friends were...
Yuu would do anything, even rush into danger.
They slowly peek around the corner once they reach the screams and sobs, watching the student, strapped to a chair and surrounded by a boy with ginger hair, multiples of him... There was no way they were all related, not with how similar the five men were.
"Clones..." Yuu deduces, gasping and covering their mouth with their hand as they watch the man roughly smack the boy across his face, spittle and blood flying in the opposite direction, the boy letting out a pathetic whimper at the action.
"Caters..." One of the clones says, nudging the one closest to him. "We have an audience~!" Chills are sent down their spine as they sink into themselves, shoulders rising to their ears as they hug themselves, legs beginning to shake.
"Oh wow!" Another one cheers, clapping his bloodstained hands together. The boy stares up in shock, jaw dropped as Yuu realizes, a pit forming in their stomach, that the boy's mouth and chin was covered in blood, his teeth nowhere to be seen.
