Yuu hastily shoves the man off of them, heart pounding in their ears as they scramble for the sword that still emerges from Sebek's back, crawling over to him. They do not pause to wonder if the horned man is watching them, amusement etched into his features as he watches their pitiful struggle.
They can feel nothing but their red-hot blood as it surges through their veins and out of their wound with every desperate reach of their hand towards the fallen boy. Yuu grabs the weapon, ignoring how the blood makes the hilt stick to their palm as they twist around, each movement agonizing as their shaking hand extends the weapon towards the fae, who raises an eyebrow and strides over to them, hovering over them and casting a long shadow over their form.
"You wish to end my life?" The fae asks quietly, voice as silent as soft rainfall as he grouches down, pressing down on the bloodied tip with the top of his finger, a single bead of blood leaking from the glove and racing down the blade. Yuu grits their teeth, panting and huffing as their vision spins.
They shake as their throat constricts and an agonizing pain bubbles up from their chest, making them choke up blood that gushes down their chin.
"I- don't..." Yuu gasps, beads of sweat dripping down their forehead and seeping into their collar as they struggle to hold the sword any longer. "-want to kill... you..."
The man simply tilts his head, grinning down at them as though they were a young, rebellious child rather than a tortured student, bleeding out on the ground and fighting for their life with every extra second they're blessed with.
"I'm not-" They sob, fresh tears staining their cheeks. "I'm not a murderer."
Yuu quickly switches the blade around and plunges it into their own chest before the man could react, blood spilling from the wound onto the ground beneath them, staining the carpets as their head falls, resting atop Sebek's arm. They shiver and shake, entire body feeling as though it were plunged into a frozen lake and set on fire at the same time.
Yuu can barely hear Silver and Malleus now, the men's forms now miles and miles away from them, trapped in a fog the human could not see through. It crept into their lungs and nestled in the crevaces of their bodies. Yuu would laugh, the refreshing feeling of liberation taking hold of their form and making them feel weightless as they were to be finally freed from this world. Their muscles spasmed as they gasped for air, a final attempt at comfort as their eyes rolled back, eyelids dropping closed.
Yuu gasps awake, looking around them. They were back in Ramshackle, the building appearing as it had before they moved in- minus the bloodstains and torn curtains. An unsettling chill rests in the air that makes the hairs on their arms stand in end as they shakily stand, looking down at their chest and gripping the spot where the gaping wound should be.
But there's none.
In fact, they don't even feel their own hand as it grips at the fabric hanging loosely around their frame.
"Hello...?" They call out, only to receive no response. Their voice sound wispy to their own ears as it gets sucked up by the thick fog that seems to hang around the room, casting an eerie dullness that settles in their bones. "Anyone?"
"...Yuu?" Someone asks through the fog.
"Hello?" They walk nervously towards the source of the voice, hoping to catch a glimpse of them through the haze. "Hello...?"
"Yuu!" Before they know it, they're thrown to the ground, a hand smacking their forehead lightly. "You dumbass! Why the hell are you here?!"
"Ace..." They sniffle, pulling the redhead closer and crying softly into the crook of his neck. He shakes, eyebrows knit on his forehead as he pulls away, tears threatening to spill from his eyes. "Ace I..."
