POV || Choi Jisu

i was in the waiting room for a while, i'm still waiting on the test results for Ryujin since she passed out during the mission.

i wish she would have told me that she wasn't okay, i would've understood, especially with her history.

"Choi Jisu?"

i heard my name be called and i stood up, looking in that direction. it was a young doctor, quite tall and handsome. his figure was good too. i bowed to the doctor as he walked my way.

"Hi, im Dr. Hwang Hyunjin, nice to meet you" he held out his hand and i shook it. "I was wondering if you would follow me to my office? The results have came back"

i nodded nervously and followed him down the corridor to a small room. i sat at the front of his desk while he went into his computer.

honestly i was scared, was she going to be okay?

he cleared his throat and turned to me, then sighed. "Honestly it's hard to tell you this, but your girlfriend's leukemia has came back and she will need a bone marrow transplant"

i felt my heart tear up, shatter into pieces.

my eyes filled with tears and i looked down. i'm trying to be strong but it's so hard to do.

"There is good news though, we caught this early on, meaning we can end this early on. But, there is a downfall, it's hard to find a donation and can take a long time, maybe even years" he continued.

"So if there is no person that can donate, i'm basically going to watch the person I love most, slowly die?" i questioned quite angrily.

i wasn't angry at the doctor, more so myself, for not seeing that ryujin was okay in the first place when i saw her this morning.

"I'm sorry, but I will do everything in my power to help her, I promise" he told me.

"I have money, I will pay for it all today if that means it will be quicker" i rummaged through my purse to grab my wallet but the doctor placed his hand on my wrist.

i looked back up to him and he shook his head "I don't care about the money being put in, my goal is to save every person I can. And I will help you find a donation as fast as I can"

i sighed and nodded as i try to intake everything.

"I will walk you to her room, she should be awake soon. I can prescribe some medicines that can help with dizziness and also provide a list of food to help take this on" he got out some paper and a pen

"From now on out, it will be a long road ahead with a lot of potholes and speed bumps, so I just need you to stay as strong as possible for her, no matter what" he gave me a comforting smile and nodded.

i nodded as well and stood up from my chair, following him to the hospital room.

my hands were all sweating and trembling as i walked inside the room.

ryujin was on the bed asleep with and IV in her hand and a blanket over her. the doctor took his leave and said that he would be back in a little with the medication and list.

i sat in the chair next to her and held her hand, giving it small kisses.

"Im sorry ryujinie, I promise i'll care for you forever. I'll make sure to be here for you when you need me" i quietly told her and kissed her head softly, moving the stray hairs from her face.
