"Bella," said Nicky
"Bella!" Said Nicky again, this time louder.
"BELLA!" Nicky yelled at the top of her lungs
"WHAT!?" Bella yelled back.
"Get your head put of the script and forget about being the princess for now." She commanded. Bella rolled her eyes and closed the script. "what?" she asked calmly. "So, who's the prince?" nicky asked. Bella shook her head as if to say, 'seriously'.
"I though we weren't talking about the script."
"We're not talking about the princess. the prince, well, he's a different story."
"He's this guy named stephan. He was caught ditching school, so the vice principal thought of drama."
"omg, you can't mean the stephan. as in hot bad boy stephan, right?"
"Is there another?" NIcky thought for a moment before shaking her head. "nope."
"I admit, he is attractive, but hot? not really." Nicky looked at her like she was crazy. "And this is why you haven't had a boyfriend yet, even though you're in high school."
"Umm... you forget I wasn't exactly popular in middle school." Nicky rolled her eyes.
"Oh, please. you were way cute. guys were just to afraid to ask you out."
"Yeah, for fear of losing popularity. don't wanna be seen with a geek."
Nicky swatted her. "You are not a geek. and never were. you just needed to grow into yourself." she smiled. Bella smiled back. "You realize you guys are gonna kiss, right?" Bella groaned. "And I am not looking forward to it." That earned a disapproving glare. "A kiss with stephan? that is worth a million dollars! you realize that his lips are still a virgin, right?" Bella was shocked. Didn't bad boys date all the girls? Kiss them all? Oh, this was news to her.
A week later they were rehearsing the play. Bella had her lines memorized, but stephan had trouble with his lines. She was constantly helping him. "My fair lady, please try on this..." He looked up, trying to remember the line. Bella broke her expression. "Steph, it's glass slipper. What's so hard about remembering that? It's the main object in the entire play." He glared at her. "Well I'm not a fan of princesses,"
"You're holding it." He narrowed his eyes before throwing said glass slipper almost off the stage. Bella caught it, but in the process, lost her balance. Stephan noticed this, and caught her by the arm, keeping her safely on the stage. Bella unwrapped his arms from around her, and scoffed. "And this is why I didn't want to be the princess. they're considered weak." stephan laughed. not a snicker, or dark laugh but a light genuinly kind laugh. "And that's what the prince is for." he said, flashing a soft smile.
Bella felt her cheeks heat up, before saying, "And that is the smile you need for the play. good, I thought you couldn't do it." she giggled.
