Stephan tried to ignore the glares of the true drama geeks; they were irritated with him because he tried to run away and made their star actress cry. He wouldn't be bothered with them, though. He was only here for one person: Bella. He wanted, no, needed to tell her the truth.
She was definitely a beauty, but the question was: would she think he was worthy of her heart? He watched her on the stage, dressed in rags but looking like a queen. Somehow, she also managed to play her role perfectly, while he barely learned his lines. How could he deserve someone so perfect? When his cue came, Bella was already off the stage, so she didn't realize he didn't run away. He didn't care at the time, though. He wanted to act like a prince, not the guy with a motorcycle and a leather jacket, just for a few hours. He wanted to be considered 'good' by a girl's father, so he might be able to get a long term girlfriend. He was so focused that he didn't realize his acting. He became a prince.
Before long, He and Bella were on stage together, and that fueled him even more. He did everything he remembered her telling him during rehearsals, got all the lines and actions. He knew that she would be impressed by him, and maybe she would like him too.
Finally, it was the kiss scene, and he didn't shy away or freeze. He kissed her like a prince would kiss a princess when the two were deeply in love. Maybe she wasn't the best kisser ever, but it wasn't bad either. Rather, he realized that who he kissed mattered more than how well he was kissed. She could have been the worst kisser in the world, and it still would have been the best kiss he'd ever had.
