Ava POV
"Mom!" I scream from my room. "Can Irene spend the week here? Her parents are going out for a business trip!"
Irene's parents work full time and run a business with Irene's uncle. It can get pretty chaotic around their house. Normally when her parents go out for a business trip, she stays with me. She's like my sister. She goes out to dinner with us, comes to my dad's house with us, she acts just like my sister. My siblings treat her like a sister and my parents treat her like their daughter.
After working it out with her parents, on our way to drop off my brothers at baseball practice, we pick up Irene from her dance studio. Today's the big Celtics vs Warriors basketball game. My whole family and Irene are hard core Celtics fans so we have a pretty fun night planned for us. We go home and I let Irene freshen up. She normally has dance for 2-3 hours a day. Its about 5 pm and on game nights, we always eat dinner around 8. Today's game only starts at 8 so seems like its another game dinner night.
We chill in my room looking through TikToks, blasting One Direction when we get a text from Matthew, Ryan's brother, to head over to his house now. His girlfriend, Iris, needs us to do some taste testing for her.
Iris Carman is Matthew's girlfriend. They've been together for four years and Iris runs a small baking business. She loves to make new things and me and Irene get to be the lucky ones and taste her stuff first! Excited to taste what she's made for us today. I put on a cropped tank top, shorts, and tie my auburn hair into a high ponytail. Irene wears shorts, am oversized crewneck and puts her dark brown hair into two French braids. We get our phones and put on our Nike Air Force's and leave the house and walk to Ryan's house.
As much as me and Irene are friends with Ryan, we still argue. A lot. And by a lot, we mean a lot. We're those kind of friends if you get what I mean. As we walk to his house we see a lot of the younger kids in the neighborhood playing a game of kickball. And their older siblings..."supervising." Our friend Luca looks like she's about to melt from the heat. Her sisters are running around with so much energy. We make our way to Ryan's house and ring the doorbell.
