you had just started your new life, got a home, a job, everything you could possibly need;
you start your new job today so you go ahead and get dressed, there was a strict uniform for butler so you put on the attire which was a blue suit and blue pants with a fancy bow and underneath was a button up white shirt.
as you finish getting ready you grab a bag and put your book inside it "just in case, and plus it counts as my journal" you say putting a pen in there as well.
you head off to princesses bubblegums castle and jump excitingly up every step, extremely hyped for the new job; as you open the huge doors and walk inside the princess is there to greet you, "hello new candy citizen!" she smiles warmly towards you, "i hope you have a wonderful time here in the candy kingdom.", i nod and smile back at her "yeah actually, im having a nice time adjusting here, im sorry to ruin small talk but id love to know about my new job" i nervously chuckled at her. "your job?, oh yes of course! your job come with me please." she gestures to me to follow her and and i obey her command.
as we walk down the halls, exploring the castle
she talks about how to do my job and what to do in certain situations like if threating people come to the castle to attack or a gand comes along and causes trouble, she jolts up a little and turns to me "oh and there is another butler, peppermint butler, but he won't bite or bother you while you do your job because he's mostly with me in my lab." she says before she stops walking, she turns to the side and looks towards me, "right there" she points at a huge gross horder mess, "that is the leftover of the 'king of Ooo' s rein of stupidity, i need you to clean it up because its attracting parasites and i cant have it ruin my work" she explains, i look to her and nod "yes ma'am! i will do my absolute best to clean this for you." i start heading off to where she was pointing at, scrubbing every inch of this 'king of Ooo' guys gross man cave mess.
--time skip--
after hours of work and multiple messes you decide to take a small break and explore the castle some more, you remembered you had brought your book and took it out and started writing in it.
after walking for a while you went outside to the garden and took a seat at one of the fancy tables, you sighed of relief "ahh, finally i haddent realized how long i was standing" you talked to yourself, "yeah it gets tiring but you get used to it-" another voices appeared in range, you jolted up out of the chair and immediately turned to the figure, seeing a small candy dude you had the same uniform as you, you took a mental note that this was probably peppermint butler. you turn around preparing to face him before being faced with the fact that it was, starchy.
"yup i remember when i was younger and more full of energy" starchy laughed, i sigh and nod politely forcing a smile "yes of course haha, now excuse me please i must continue my duties" i smile and walk off to find the princess, following a shade of light outside a door i heard the princess voice and followed it.
--meanwhile in room-- (third person)
the princess was working on a special experiment super top secret stuff, peppermint butler was right besides her, making sure she is hydrated and well fed, peppermint butler tearned to princess bubblegum, "more tea princess?" he asked, "no thanks pe
peppermint butler, go ahead and take a break, i think im ready to-" she yawned "to the hay" she said groggily. peppermint butler nodded and started to
head out, after he stepped out of the door frame (Y/N) turned the corner and was faced with him.

As I stepped out of the doorframe i immediately noticed a presence and turned to my right, as I stood there I saw another person with the butler uniform; I examined them and just about spoke They spoke, "oh!, hello sir you must be peppermint butler yes?" they spoke politely, i glared at the book they had in their hands, "yes that is me, say who are you? i have never seen you in the castle or anywhere" i eyed them suspiciously; "um well princess bubblegum hired me today and i was looking for her because its late and id like to go back to my home" they smiled warmly, i did not return such warmness. "oh well shes in here-" i walk back inside princesses bubblegums lab where she was sleeping on the desk, i went up to her and shook her awake "princess the new butler is requesting to be sent home", princess bubblegum turns to me and nods "yeah go ahead and send them home, make sure you tell them to be here by 6am" she yawns and goes back to sleeping on her desk, i nod and go back to the new butler; "well she said yes so shoo go on home" i shooed them away, they smiled and nodded but before they could finish they stopped walking.

i stopped walking looking down the dark hallway, It sucked that i still have a fear of the dark despite being a dark magic wizard "formally".
"hey mr.peppermint butler could assist me down the hall?", peppermint butler turned to me and nodded silently, he stepped beside me and we started walking. after a few minutes i decided to break the silence, "so how long have you been serving princess bubblegum?" i asked, "a really long time, almost 800 years i think" he replied, my eyes lit up in intrigue "woa really? thats amazing, id love to serve her like you have" i smiled, peppermint butler looked up at me in bewilderment but soon his faced turned into a slight smile "im glad you appreciate the princess like i do" he continues to walk, "say, i never got your name-" he turns up at you, "oh, my name is (Y/N)." i smile at him; it took only a few more minutes to get to the entrance, "well this is as far as i go" said peppermint butler, "oh okay, well see you later peppermint butler!" i wave bye to him as i walk off to my house.

as I finish walking (Y/N) to the castle entrance and turn around inside and see they had dropped a book, i quickly turn to tell them they left something but they were already gone. i took the book to my room
and sat down, debating if i should read it or not. "hmmm.." i sat in thought "one page, then i look no further-" i lied and opened the book starting to read from start to finish.

after i finally got home i took a shower, cleaned my uniform, flopped on my bed and went to sleep even more excited for the next day especially after making a new friend in this Kingdom.
