She looked at me confused.
Me: we getting to know each other right?
Zikhona: Yes as girlfriend and boyfriend
I smiled at her and looked at her for a second.
Me: Am not going to ask you to marry me now cause I can see you will faint. But I am going to marry you eventually. It can be tomorrow, Monday or next week but you will be my wife.

I could hear the girls containing they excitement and I looked at him for some time.
Me: You don't know me.

She looked at me rolling her eyes and I laughed.
Me: I know that you the only surviving member of your family and that you have uncles and aunts that you have never seen or heard of cause your mom was a loner. I know that you were your mother keeper for years and she loved you beyond words making you the loving soul that you are. I know that you love singing, you downplay it but you love it and you amazing on it. I know that these two are the only two people that you click with because they take you as you are. I know that you love eating and are the worst foodie ever cause you eat everything and anything. I know that you have never dated before and somehow that makes me feel special that am the one you decided to date. I know that you are kind, smart, intelligent and very shy but your friends extra personality comforts you making you a talker. Lastly I know that you know that you safe with me, and that gives me comfort.
She had tears in her eyes.
Me: That enough for me to want to ask you for your hand cause I know you will always have my back, you will always treat me with the same respect that I give you and you will never disappoint me.
I took out the ring box my great grandmother gave me long ago and took her hand giving it to her. The jet was landing and she was crying.
Me: I was going to ask when the time was right for you to be my fiancée. I know we been together for a week but its feels like its years. Yes there is still time or things that we will have to share but I don't see myself sharing them with anyone but you. So keep the box okay and wear the ring when you ready to wear it and when you know that you ready to take this journey with me of being my best friend, comforter and lover.
I kissed her head and smiled.
Me: We here guys.
I turned and walked to help out in getting us ready for the 40 minute ride to the palace.

I sat there for sometime not knowing what to do or say as the girls ran screaming.
Ayo: Was that a proposal?
Me: I don't know
Sbahle: Its sounded like a proposal
Ayo: He did say wear the ring when you ready, chomma are you ready?
Me: I don't know guys. Its only been a week
Ayo: How does it feel when you with him?
I smiled wiping the tear.
Me: Like everything is okay. Like my past life never existed and the pain of losing the only human I knew loved me isn't there.

We were huddled up like kids as I slowly opened the box and the most beautiful tear drop shape huge diamonds was there with a white gold band covered in tiny sparkling diamonds.
Me: Oh my world

My heart was pounding so hard and I took it out of the box and slipped it on my finger snd I swear it hugged it but not in the uncomfortable way.
Ayo: Its looks beautiful
Sbahle: We not going to tell you what to do babes but thina we are here with you. Its your decision okay
I nodded and wiped the tear as they hug me.
Luniko: Guys we have to go.
I closed the box quickly and put it in my handbag and we walked out with Ayo shaking his tiny ass a we laughed.
Ayo:why you laughing guys? That a Jet walk. We roared with laughter and I got to the door where Luniko stopped me from jumping off and looked at me for a second.

The minute she wore it I felt the tug on my heart. Yes I never told her that the minute she slips it on she will never be able to take it off unless I help her with taking it off.
Me: You wearing it.
She looked at her fingers and smiled
Me: Looks good on you
Zikhona: Thanks
Me: Come
We jumped off got in the car and we drove to the palace with me pointing out anything we can see in the dark and them enjoying every moment and laughing. And my heart content, she said yes. Yes she never said it out loud but her actions tells me its a big yes!!...
