Third Person POV

After almost eleven hours travelling, Jefferson finally parked the black SUV in Lunarocca's castle. He streched out his arms, which suddenly felt very tired and crampy after a long journey of work. He sighed; looking out of the window he could see and endless forest tainted white and a magnificient castle that alone made the trees company. It was beautiful, he thought, but as soon as he saw it he could not refrain to think that it stood there alone, in the middle pf a forest, as a sign of power. But he was expecting it; how wouldn't he? Afterall they were in Lunarocca, Alpha Gabriel's home. And of his name wasn't enough proof of his power, then his castle certainly was. And the Alpha also admitted that ot was a brilliant idea: the most powerful of all Alphas, as it was his turn to organize the annual meeting, providing a place for it to take place in his territory, why not make it in his enormous, magnifient castle?

Jefferson chuckled humorlessly and looked at his beautiful green eyed mate that slept in the car seat. After all those years together he still found himself mesmerized by her loving nature. She was his perfect match in every way: he was easily stressed and she was calm all the time, sometimes even too much, and after twenty five years his girl still managed too surprise him everyday, and everyday he fell for her all over again.

He remembered perfectly how he met her: it was a in hot night of July and the pack children were going to a summer camp. And just like in those girly romances, during a bonfire in which he, the popular soon to be Alpha, was playing his guitar, Angela passed by him woth a friend or two, not even aware of his presence. He had felt her instantly with her sweet flowery scent but she was still so young at the time. At only thirteen years old Angela didn't even realise that he was her pretestined one. But Jefferson didn't give up and after a year of friendship his Angela finally shifted, suddenly aware of his identity. And, to his upmost surprise, she accepted him with open arms. And then, they lived happily ever after.

《 So corny! 》

Angela said, opening her beautiful eyes and smiling lovinly at her husband. As mates, she could easily read his mind and with him so distracted as he was thinking about their memorable past, he couldn't not eavsdrop into his thoughts.

Jefferson's ears tinged pink and the Alpha coughed embarrassed, trying to hide his blush, before kissing his wife's forehead, letting his lips linger a little before getting out of the car.

His body found the change of tenperature strange, but for once he didn't mind being in the cold; it made it easy to think and that was exactly what he needed at that moment: to think.

After seeing his Aloha get out of the car, the Beta made his way towards his chief. After making sure that Jefferson was aware of his presence, he mindlinked him letting his superior know that they were to settle in the castle's West wing, where all of the other Alphas were situated. They had plenty of time to sleep; the meetings would only start in the following morning but Jefferson still found it right to meet with his second and third in command, just to make sure everything was going according the plans.

After discussing more politics with George, Jefferson went back to the car and opened the passenger's door. Angeka got out and shivered to the cold; sure, in their territory, which was placed in the West coast of Canada, it had been cold, but Gabriel's territory on the mountains was arctic. And for lycans to feel cold, well, it must have been freezing outside.

Caua had woken up as soon as his father had gotten out of the SUV, but decided not to follow his Aloha because Athenodora was still asleep, curled against him, and he was afraid that if he moved, his sister might get cold. And that wasn't what he wanted. Now looking at her face he couldn't help but feel protective over his sibling; Thena was so small, standing just above five feet tall, and she looked so breakable. During their childhood he was always near her and even if he knew that she could definitely protect herself against others of their species, he still wouldn't risk it. Thena was just too precious for him, and after six years alone he finally got someone to accompany him in his crazy journey as a future Alpha; title that he, by the way, would be getting soon.He smiled at his little sister's even breathing and promised himself he would give his life to protect that angelic being.

Caua was brought out of his thoughts when he suddenly heard a knock on the window. Looking out, he saw his father calling out for his children. He noded in acknologement and turned to Athenodona. She was just so peaceful and it seemed wrong for him to wake her up just so that she got in the castle to sleep again. Sighing he opened the SUV's door and caught his sister in old princess' style before getting out. He felt Thena shiver with the change of air and fekt her inching closer to him and his heat in her sleep.

After closing the door he moved towards his now hugging parents. Angela, aware of her son's presence, turned to him and saw her younger child hurled in Caua's arms. She smiled uncounsciously; she considered herself lucky. Even if they sometimes bicjered a little, her children had had an amazing bond since the second Athenodora was born.

She silently noded, giving Caua permission to go inside and out of the cold wind taht was blowind mercilessly. Jefferson looked down at his mate and smiled too, he was just so content around his family. Turning around with a shivering Angela in his arms, he caught sight of his successor and the four of them together made their way towards the castle, united and after along time prepared for whatever was to come. After all, they were family.
