I awoke with sun rays directly on my eyes.

"Dammit," I muttered as I slowly rose up. "Why?!"

I stretched my back while I heard the small popping noises of it being popped. I looked over my shoulder and found the fire had gotten out during the night. I got up though with the slightest stumble of falling back down to the floor.

"Every damn morning," I sighed.

I silently left the cave while my parents still slept. I heard birds chirp; sunlight leak through the tree branches. The walk back down the the river had me thank God that we have not been found yet after all of these months.

I let my feet dangle in the water, accepting the usual small fish curiously being by them.

It felt as if no problems had ever existed in the peaceful quiet. I turned my head back to the cave; neither parent up yet.

"A walk won't hurt if I'm back in time," I smiled small like.

I got up from my spot on the earth, then made my way back up the hill.

I left the small area that I knew well, then continued off with no hesitation, along with no regret.

It felt like I was walking for hours on end with the freedom I snuck. I would walk over fallen trees, over rocks that were aligned in a small river as I walked farther.

"Walk quietly," I uttered to myself as I repeated the action I spoke. "Don't call attention to yourself as you walk. Never make noise; never scream or yell. Or else, you'll be caught."

I felt myself shrink as the trees grew taller and taller; as I walked farther and farther into the forest. What only stopped to notice how far I was away from my parents, was the faint 'howl' of an animal.

I seized my feet to stop walking; turned my head every way I could to find the main source.

"Ok," I whispered. I crouched down then crawled slowly toward the trunk of a tree.

"Ok, you're in a forest; away from Mom and Dad. And you might be faced with a Werewolf." It took me a minute to fully evaluate my problem.

MOTHER FUCKER!!

Was all I could truly think of at the moment. I hugged my legs close together with enough force that the both went numb. I didn't hear anymore howls; I assumed it was safe.

"Go back," I told myself. "It'll be alright. The cave doesn't look too far. It's only your mind playing tricks on you."

I slowly kept away from the tree; only to cling to the next one. And hope that the mutt of a creature was far away.

My path back to my parents began with such a quiet state I forgot why I was even hanging onto the trees.

I saw the sun begin to set once again, then mentally slapped myself for even thinking of going on a dank walk.

I walked as far as I could with my only light fading, and fading fast. I had given up on making it back, then sat by another tree that I clung to as if my life depended on it.

"Need to rest," I spoke alone. "Ground not safe."

I panted as I took in my surroundings again, found no place to hide for the evening. Then I looked up.

"Damn it, this better be worth it."

I hugged the tree then began to climb it as best I could with the strength I had. After what felt like 10 minutes, saw how far above I was from the ground.

"Alright then," I sighed of relief.

I sat in the corner where the branch met the body of the tree itself. "Just rest here for the night. Just for the night."

As the sun began to set; I made my body readjust to the hard bark. Then rested my head; the thought of me gaining rest would be a possibility.

My eyes became heavy once again; though I didn't want to sleep while the light barely faded. I convinced myself to count sheep; though I was stupid enough to think it'd keep me awake.

4.....

I sighed once more again, then fell asleep before I could say 5.

I opened my eyes once more to find myself in the forest still. Only all of the colors have faded and replaced with pitch black.

I heard the leaves rustle against the wind. Heard the howls of Wolf coming closer and closer. Though, as I looked closer into the abyss of darkness. I found none. Only, I saw was a shadow figure. He stood tall, at 6'3 ft. Muscular built was an easy guess given by his chest that was slightly covered by the black jacket. I couldn't find his eyes, they were covered by the hood and I found him with a smirk plastered on his face.

He held out his hand then whispered to me like the night before.

Come to me, my little pet...

I felt my legs move toward him as soon as he spoke. Though, he started fade from me. I tried once more reaching toward him, though I never did.

You'll come to me soon....My little pet...
