Saving Anastasia

Late night talks

Some days they let us off campus, tonight was one of those nights. I got a text from Anastasia to meet her here.

10:58pm and I'm slowly driving to the cafe

Right now I need a time out, i need to be less confused about Anastasia, I parked my car outside the Cafe and got out, opening the door to be welcomed by a girl.

"Hi, how can I help you?" She said as I sat down the the booth.

"Erm, Green tea please" I smiled as I pulled out a journal out.

"Of course" she smiled walking away to the kitchen.

I opened my journal, and started writing, ranting in my journal made me feel happy since I had no one to actual talk too.

"What you writing?" the waitress said as she placed the tea on my table and sitting down on the opposite side.

"Just how much I hate people" I said looking at her, her lips curved into a small smile as she leaned over the table.

"So do I"she breathed out, her breath hit me causing me to shiver. " my real name is Sky" she said picking her tag up which said Rose.

" so what's your name ?" She asked raising her eyebrows at me.

"Noah" I muttered looking at her smile once again.

"Well Noah,why are you in a Cafe at 10:58 at night?" She asked as she played with her fingers.

"I'm waiting for a girl here." I laughed awkwardly.

"Well Noah whatever happens with this girl remember fate has its ways" she said smiling. "Well I think she's here mate, good luck" she laughed getting up and waving bye.

10:58pm, and I was sat in a booth with Anastasia, talking randomly about stupid things.

" When I was younger, thunderstorms seem scary. like the sky was angry at me. but now that I am older, something about it's roar soothes me; it's comforting to know that even nature needs to scream sometimes" Anastasia said looking up at the ceiling.

"That's something I uses to think when I was younger, I thought it was my fault the sky cries"

She nodded at my response taking a sip out of her coffee.

"Why are we here?" I finally ask her

" I like begin around you I guess, you have something calming about you" she whispered low enough so only I could hear.

I nodded slowly still processing what she just said to me.

"Don't get me wrong, I don't mean your boring, I mean you play it safe and I like that about you. For once I want to play it safe"

I nodded again, finishing my green tea.

"Let's get out of here" I said paying the bill, before I could leave Sky came and gave me her number before I started walking out towards the car.

Anastasia looked at our interaction before pushing the cafe door open and pushing me out.

"I took bus here. So can you give me a lift?" She asked looking up towards me as she opened my car door and sat down.

"Okay, let's go back to our Dorms then"

"NO! Let's go somewhere else please" she whispered looking out the window.

I nodded as I started the engine and began to drive
