《 3rd person POV 》
It was now 11pm, the 2 hedgehogs were still laying on the ground staring at the sky. They held hands and watched the stars.
"Do you come here often?" Asked Sonic
"I Do" said Shadow, "I come here almost every night"
"I didn't know you liked this sorta stuff shads" Sonic said as he giggled
"Theres a lot of things you don't know about me faker" replied Shadow
"Like what?" questioned Sonic, "Or are you too 'edgy' to bring out the truth?"
Sonic chuckled and turned to face Shadow
"Shut up idiot, you laugh like a moron" Huffed Shadow
Shadow continued watching the stars and gripped onto Sonic's hand.
《 Sonic's POV 》
Shadow tightened his grip on my hand making me blush even more. I'm still surprised that Shadow is acting like this towards me, he's always so edgy and serious. I never knew he had such a soft side.
I stared at him and studied his facial expression, he looked as if he was going to cry. I got closer and rubbed his quills
"You good?" I Asked
Shadow looked at me as i saw a tear roll down his muzzle, i sat up and pulled him in for a hug. He hugged back and cried into my chest. I didn't know why he was upset but i tried my best to comfort him. After a while he loosened his grip and sat back.
"I'm sorry" Shadow said as he wiped his eyes, "That was uncalled for"
"It's fine, no need to worry shads, I got you" I Replied
Shadow smiled at me and i smiled back.
"Whats going on?" I asked as we both layed back down on the grass
"Maria.." Shadow said under his breath
I heard him say something but it was quite hard to hear.
"What?" I Said
"Maria.." Shadow said as another tear rolled down from his muzzle
Maria? Who is she? Rouge told me something about a girl named Maria before, from what i'v heard Shadow loves her a lot, shes someone important to him.
"Who is Maria?" I Said, "If you don't mind me asking"
"Maria was my first friend on the Ark" Shadow said, "She was my everything until.."
Shadow hesitated and tried to hold back his tears. I held his hand tightly and said, "Until what?"
"Until she sacrificed herself for me" Shadow said
We both stayed silent and i stared at him in sorrow.
"We used to watch the stars from the ark" Said Shadow, "Thats why i come here everynight"
"Well it's beautiful, I'm sure Maria would be happy for you" I said
Shadow looked at me and smiled, he rubbed my head and sat back.
"I always thought you were annoying and cocky all the time, I guess I was wrong" Chuckled Shadow
"I am NOT annoying!" I huffed
Shadow laughed and stood up while pulling me up with him.
"It's pretty late, you should go home" Shadow said, "You want a lift?"
"No it's fine, i'll take care of myself! I don't need the 'ultimate lifeform' to help me" I said
"Ugh whatever" replied Shadow
"See ya!" I said as i ran off
《 Shadow's POV 》
Sonic dashed off into the woods, i turned around and looked up at the moon.
"I miss you, Maria"
I then chaos controlled to my House and made my way upstairs, I took off my shoes and layed in bed. I stared at the ceiling and groaned.
"Get out of my mind faker!" I Huffed.
I kept thinking about him, I just couldn't get him out of my mind. I kept thinking about how beautiful he is..his blue quills, his personality, everything. I've always hated him but I never realised how caring he is. who knew an annoying jerk could be such a softie.
What am I even doing? I'm not gay! No way. I can't like a guy! Sonic wouldn't even like me back, he's probably interested in that stupid pink hedgehog, what's her name again? Amy? I don't even think Sonic would have interest in guys, especially me. Whatever, I'll just head to sleep.
I closed my eyes and eventually fell asleep.
《 Sonic's POV 》
I was still running through the forest until I heard a beep from my comuniacator.
"Sonic! Where are you? Sonic!! Did Shadow hurt you?? Sonic Answer!" Tails said through my comuniacator.
"Hey bud! Sorry for not responding, I was uhm busy" I Replied As I leaned against a tree
"Finally! where are you? Your tracker says your quite far from the village" Asked Tails
"Can you come get me with the tornado? I'm pretty lost" I said
"Sure thing Sonic! I'll be there in a few minutes" replied Tails
"Thanks bud!" I Said
10 minutes passed and I saw Tails flying towards me, I climbed ontop of a tree and grabbed onto a rope attached to the tornado. Tails pulled me up and handed me a chilli dog
"I thought you may want a small snack" Tails said
I Ate the chilli dog and said, "Thanks!"
Tails laughed and started flying towards the village, a few minutes passed and we finally arrived home. I jumped out of the tornado and made my way inside the house. Tails followed behind and shut the door. I made my way upstairs into my room and shut the door. I took off my shoes and white cloth off my legs and arms.
I Sat on my bed and looked at my hand, I remembered holding Shadow's hand..I blushed and groaned
"Ugh what's wrong with me?" I said
I kept thinking about him, every thought of him made me blush even more. I can't believe I have a crush on the ultimate lifeform, its even worse that he's a guy. Why am I even thinking about him? it's not like I have a chance.
I feel bad for him though, that Maria girl seems really important to him. I Rubbed my hands and stared at them. I Groaned and got up and sat down infront of my desk. I pulled out a piece of paper and started drawing, I then got a few colouring pencils and started Colouring. Once I finished I looked at it and smiled. I then folded it and put it in a box, I placed it on my desk and rubbed my face.
"I feel childish, what am I even doing?" I Huffed, "Whatever, I'll just go to sleep since it's pretty late anyway"
I stood up and layed down on the bed, after a while I finally fell asleep.
