Sana approaches her new boss after secretly watching her from afar. Jeongyeon didn't realize about her presence as the latter was too busy smoking her heart out while having a serious talk through the phone earlier. Once finished, Sana decided to wait while Jeongyeon is gathering her thought before she makes an approach.
"You're good at that now uh?" Her voice startled Jeongyeon. Sana chuckling. She finds it funny that Jeongyeon was too shocked that she almost dropped her phone. It's obvious, the phone call earlier seems to bother the woman before her eyes.
"Want some?" Jeongyeon offered her cigarette but Sana quickly shakes her head.
"No thanks. I've left that habit years ago."
Jeongyeon bat her eyebrows. "Interesting. Since you're the one who taught me about this but now you're quitting. That's unfair."
Sana look at Jeongyeon and smiles. "Because you looked like you really needed a cigarette that night."
Jeongyeon sighed and extinguished her smoke, looking far away as they are both at her studio rooftop. The event from years ago, where they first meet each other at the beach are in both their minds.
"It's funny that we still remember our first meeting.." Sana uttered in a soft chuckles. As she turn to look at Jeongyeon, her eyes caught a familiar necklace hanging loosely on Jeongyeon's neck. The same necklace Jeongyeon wanted to get rid of at the beach that night.
"Yeah...it's a bittersweet memory for me." Jeongyeon said halfheartedly. Seeing Sana, she was brought back to that painful moment. Even after six years, she still hasn't forget about Nayeon. She might look like she has moved on but when she's alone in her room she gets reminded of her which is why, most of the time she rather goes to the bar and hooks up with some strangers to distract herself from those thoughts.
"Are you still single?"
Jeongyeon nodded her head. "Yeah. I don't think I'm available for a new relationship. What about you?"
Jeongyeon lit up another cigarette but Sana quickly take it away from her and threw it to the ground. Her act confused the latter.
"I'm sorry, boss. I can't stand the smell of it now." Sana lied. If she let her, that would be Jeongyeon's fourth stick and she cannot let any more cigarette to burn her boss lungs as of now.
"Shall we go somewhere for a drink? I thought I owed you something and maybe we can talk about it over a few drinks?"
Jeongyeon turn and their eyes meet. Sana has changed. She looked more mature now compared to when she met her the first time. Her dark brown hair really goes well with her small pretty face. She is named a top tier model for a reason. Her beauty is undeniable. Every designer would want to work with her and Jeongyeon happened to be so lucky. All thanks to her hardworking secretary, Chou Tzuyu.
"Stop staring at me like that. You're making me nervous." Sana's voice almost audible. She could feel her entire face burning up in shyness. Jeongyeon is staring at her way too deep for her not feel that shy. Those eyes really hit her right in the heart.
"I'm sorry.. I was.. something in my mind.." Jeongyeon responded trying to hide away her embarrassment for being caught staring at the supermodel.
"So, drink?"
"Yeah. Sure. After you, Miss Kim."
And so, Jeongyeon drove away from her studio building and look for an open bar. It's been so long since she consuming alcohol this early as she thought 3pm is an inappropriate time to be drunk.
"Love is complicated no matter how many times you're trying to make it easy for the both of you. Just like me and Dahyun..." Sana paused and she stare blankly at the bartender who currently mixing some coktails into his mixer.
