Summer stepped out into the ice as as her name was announced. She began to glide on the ice. song in the background keeping her focused. Although she was incredibly nervous. this was magic to her. she watched the audience

carefully as she twirled. And even though there was many of them only one caught her eye. In the audience there was a male with black hair. writing stuff down in his notebook. as he looked up to watch her curiously. Summer did another complicated twirl earning a bunch of claps from the audience. she watched him get up and leave.

A curious hum left Summer's lips as she finished up her routine. Earning a bunch of claps from the audience. She went to join her coach. Later she quickly found out that she was in second place. Being a little bummed out

that she didn't make it to First. Summer went home. (Cause it was late) as she walked she saw her friend Yuri Plisetsky in the hallway following The Japanese figure skater. She decided not to question it as she gave Yuri a little wave. As she began to join her over-confident coach.

Shortly after she got home she couldn't stop thinking abot the male in the audience. "what was he doing?" she thought to herself as she got ready for bed. "Did I do something wrong? Is that why he left so early?"

She questioned as she set her alarm clock. "Maybe I'm overthinking again." she stated to herself. as she got into her canopy bed. "I'm sure we'll see each other again." she stated to herself again. as her mind continued to be flooded with thoughts of the male in the audience. As Summer drifted to sleep.

Shortly after Summer's performance. Cynthia couldn't stand it anymore. she needed to find her friend. Yurri has been gone for a while. normally after his said 'minute.' he would come back. and they would both leave early. with his coach. to grab a pork cutlet Bowl. and just talk.

but it's been an hour. Cynthia continued to walk down the hallway. until she came to the men's restrooms. only to hear one thick russian accent. she couldn't quite make it out. so she put her ear to the door. and heard: "incompetents like you should just retire. we don't need two Yuris in the same braket! BAKA!"

As soon as Cynthia heard this the door swung open. Almost knocking her to the floor. Cynthia quickly dodged. Accidentally bumping into the blond. He growled "watch where your going!" He shouted. Cynthia glared at him. As he walked away. "You don't have to be an ass

about it." Cynthia said as he stopped. "What did you say?" The blond said as he turned to her. Cynthia could get a good look at him now. He was wearing a red, white, and blue jacket. With a black hoodie under it. His eyes were a blue-ish green color. His hair was obviously blond. It was to his shoulders. And a half nearly covors his face. To Cynthia, he looked so fimiler.

Cynthia took one last look as it hit her. The blond Russian was the fingure skater. "You heard me. Theres no need to be an ass to everyone here just because you think your better than everyone else." Cynthia said as he stopped right infront of her.
He bent down to her level. "I don't think. I am better... Better than that moron." The blond said as he walked

away. Cynthia scoffed "arrogant prick..... I should've said that." Cynthia muttered as she knocked on the restroom door. "Yuuri? Are you ok?" Cynthia called as Yurri stepped out. She almost immediately noticed that his eyes were red and puffy. Cynthia diddnt say anything. She just pulled him into a hug.

~~~~~~~~
Cynthia, Yurri, and Celestino. Walked. To the Lobby of Ice Skating Stadium. Cynthia. Tried to cheer him up. But it was to no avail. "Cyn-chan, you should go back to Hasetsu." Yuuri said softly as they walked to the door. "No, That's not
an option. Not with you in this state." Cynthia responded calmly with a smile. "No. Cyn-chan, I'm serious. You can't stay with me forever. Your book career is really taking off. Plus Your winter break is nearly over. Considering i switched colleges...." Yurri said softly as he slung the bag on his back.
"Ok, 1 i have 3 weeks before college starts back up. 2, your way more important. And 3, my book got published exactly one month ago today. I think we got time." Cynthia said as she stood up with him. In that moment the three heard a Voice cut through the crowd "Yuuri!" The voice shouted. The
three then turned to see Hisashi Moorka ( one of the ice skating enthusiasts and announcers of the many comptions) "Don't give up kid! It's to early for you to retire!" Moorka shouted. As Yurri sighed. "Its not like I made a decision. Please don't make assumptions." Yuuri said coldly.
Cynthia stood there akwardly occasionally making eye contact with Celestino. "What will you do for college?" Moorka asked/shouted as a soft 'uh' left Yurri's lips as his eyes landed on small brown poodle. Moorka continued to ask question after question.
While yurri's eyes continues to be fixed on the dog. Cynthia gently patted his back as a way of comfort. Before another male voice cut through the crowd catching both Cynthia's and Yurri's attention. "Yuri, about your free performance. The step sequence could use more-."
The voice belonged to Victor Nicoverof. a Russian skater that Yuuri had idolized ever since he was young. Victor was walking with the blond Russian ice skater from earlier and some elderly man "I won so who cares? Quit nagging Victor." Yuri said annoyed ( the blond)
Just then the elder man spoke " Yuri! You can't talk that way forever!" The elder man continued to rant as Yuri just rolled his eyes before they landed on Cynthia. She hadn't noticed though. she was to worried about Yurri. Victor then looked to see Yurri. Yurri gasped in suprise
"Do you want a photo?" Victor asked with a smile. As Yurri just stared. Not really sure what to do. "Sure." Victor said as he beckoned Yurri to come over.
But surprisingly. He diddnt instead he just walked away. Outside the ice skating rink.
Not caring if anyone followed him. He didn't know what else to do. Cynthia quickly went to follow him before Celestino grabbed her shoulder "Let him go. He'll talk when he's ready." Cynthia didn't agree with that statement but she believed there was
no other option. In the end Cynthia and Yurri agreed that the best thing he can do stay in Detroit while she went back home to finish up her semester while he finished up his semester in Detroit. Although... They would miss eachother it was the only thing they could both do.
