Chapter 7

"So they lived happily ever after. The end."

I turned to Ella who's now sleeping peacefully. Slowly, i get out of bed and carefully tucked her in.

"Jane?" Leo called me sleepily, signaling him to keep quiet. He slowly went inside Ella's room patiently waiting for me as I turned off the bedside lights and switch on her princess lamp.

"What's wrong love?" I whispered as I picked him up and carried him.

"I had a bad dream.." he mumbled on my neck.

Carefully, i closed Ella's room and walked towards Leo's.

"Don't worry love, I got you.." while caressing his back.

"I don't want to go back in my room yet.." he said.

"Okay then, do you want some milk?" I asked him as i carried him going to the kitchen.

"Okay.." the little man answered while still burying his face on my neck.

We went inside the large empty kitchen. The cooks already retired to bed since its already pass midnight. I gently moved him at my left side as i use my other hand to get some cup and milk in the refrigerator.

I gave him the cup which he happily took with both hands. "Do you want to see the stars love?"

He nod with excitement in his sleepy eyes. So we end up sitting in the big swing in the balcony, hummed him a lullaby as we look at the beautiful night sky.

I felt him heavy in my arms making me smile. Finally the little man is now sound asleep.

"Jane?"

I turned to Lisa who looked so tired but still manage to disrupt my calm beating heart. She looked at Leo in my arms. "He couldn't sleep." I whispered as I slowly stood up from the swing.

Lisa walked closer to me and lovingly caress her son's hair. That's when I noticed the bags under her eyes, and she looked a bit pale than normal. "You don't look well mistress." I worriedly said.

She looked at me giving me a faint smile. "No I'm fine. I'm just.. tired I guess."

Without even thinking, i touched her forehead checking her temperature. "Your temperature seems normal." Realizing what I just did, I immediately withdraw my hand but i gasp when she suddenly caught it and guided my hand on her cheeks.

She caress the back of my hand with her thumb as she intently stared at me with so much emotions in her eyes that i don't mind getting lost into.

And as always I am a willing victim.

Its like time stopped ticking as we continued to stare at each other's eyes. Touching her like this seems like home..

"Jane..." she whispered my name like a sin. "Thank you.."

"For what?" I asked.

"For.. just being you.."

I could almost hear the beat of my heart and i fear that Lisa could hear them too. She slowly pulled me closer towards her making me held my breath. Her stunning features are more evident this up close and i could already smell her minty breath. She never took her eyes on me as she scanned my face till it landed on my lips.

Oh how I miss the taste of her sweet luscious lips on mine.

I unconsciously licked my bottom lip which only made those brown doll like eyes burned more with desire.

And I didn't even hesitate..

Like magnets we welcomed each other's sweet intoxicating taste. Her familiar soft lips caressing mine made me loose my sanity. I even grabbed her collar pulling her closer to me. I felt her smile on my lips as I continued to shamelessly devour her lips.

"Ow mommy you're squishing me.."

Hearing Leo's tiny voice is enough for Lisa and I to jump away from each other. As i turned to the cute boy in my arms who is giggling his heart out looking at his mother and me back and forth like he witnessed it all making me blush.

"We're so sorry baby." Lisa apologizes ruffling his hair but her eyes remained on me with a knowing smile on her face.

I'm so stupid. Why did i ever forgot about him in my arms? This is so embarrassing.

"Its okay mommy i like hugging Jane too." He turned to me and hugged me tight burying his small face on my neck.

"Awwee I like hugging you too buddy and also tickling this cute tummy." Immediately he wiggled while laughing on my arms.

"No! Stop!! Help mommy!!" He said while laughing.

"Oh no that's your consequence for eavesdropping." Lisa said teasingly.

"No!! Pleasee!!" He begged while trying to catch my hand.

"Okay fine. Since you said please." I said then kissed him on the cheeks. "And you're pass your bedtime mister." Taping his pointy nose making him scrunched it.

"You and Mommy can tuck me in." He said while reaching his mother with his short hand while the other hand remained hooked on my neck.

Lisa look at me adoringly then confidently enclose my shoulders with her long arm. "Sure love." She answered her son as she lead us upstairs. "We'll definitely talk later." She whispered.

This must be a dream.
