Kate opens her eyes up in shock and rushes to the clock. the time hasn't changed.. not one bit. she is confused and looks at her phone. it's not changed either.. She notices the stairs lights flickering and she see something that makes her heart sink. the floor looks like its-... breathing..
she wakes up on one of the chairs in the diner. it was all a dream.. or was it?... she checks the time on her phone and it's 11:41PM an hour has passed. she gets up and is shocked by what she sees. the whole entire diner is a mess. it looks like it was robbed? she sighs and heads to the kitchen. all of the glasses, pottery and windows are smashed. she is confused *Wouldn't she wake up hearing all of the noise? how did she sleep through it?* her thoughts were Interrupted by a loud thud from the stairs. Kate walks over to the stairs, quietly. there is a hammer, covered in blood.

her eyes widen like a deer in headlights. she goes to grab some yellow gloves from the kitchen and hurries her way back. but when she got there, the hammer was gone.

she looks around in confusion. she runs up and down the stairs, looking for the hammer but it's nowhere to be seen. "Ugh, what is going on?!" she screams in frustration. the whole diner shakes and she falls on her back "Ow.." she swiftly gets up and checks her phone. there's a message. it's from her best friend, Jennifer.it reads: " A crazy man broke into my house today--- I didn't want to tell him where you lived but he made me. please don't go to sleep tonight."

her heart sinks, once again she replies "what?!! what?"

and she closes off her phone. she goes to the bathroom and is getting changed when she hears her ringtone. someone is calling her. she gets out of her stall in the bathroom and rushes to her phone. the bloody hammer was next to her phone. immediately she is confused, scared and furious. " What. the. hell. " she mumbles, angrily. she grabs her phone and answers the call. "erm.. Kate speaking..??" she says, cautiously. "Hi." the caller replies. it's a man, with a REALLY deep voice. he mumbles as he says, "Is this your address?" "sorry sir?? I didn't get that." she replies. "IS. THIS. YOUR. ADDRESS.?" he shouts. she is sent a screenshot from the unknown number. it's an address. not hers, just an address. "c-c..creep...." she stutters. there is silence and then the caller hangs up. *beep, beep BEEP.* "humph." "well maybe I should get going now.. it's getting late." she throws her uniform in the washing machine and leaves. as she is locking up, she sees a shadow figure standing inside of the diner.

She jumps back in fright. she runs to her car and trips on a rock. she skids her knee and her hands but she carries on running. she gets to her car and opens the door. she gets in and the doors lock. *HUH?! I DIDN'T DO THAT!?...* *Ugh, stop it Kate. I need to focus on getting out!!* her car isn't starting.
after almost 5 tries, her car starts. she drives off, as fast as possible she gets home and calms her breathing. "phew.." she says, gasping for air as she is opening the door. ( words in total)
