Im 21 weeks today and it's time to know the gender of the baby that's growing inside me. This pregnancy has been a roller coaster so far a lot worse then I was pregnant with Ritchie. I hope it's a girl so that I can have one of each, but I have a feeling it's going to be another boy. Either way I just want a healthy baby. Oscar decided to have a small get together with close friends and family to reveal the gender. My parents actually are able to fly in this time as they weren't last time. We gave the envelope that contained what the gender is to Mrs. and Mr. Martinez so they can make a gender reveal box together for Oscar and I to open in front of everyone. I felt warm muscular arms wrap around me from behind. "How's our little princess?!" Oscar says as he places his hands on my growing belly. "Oh so you thinks it's a girl..huh?!" You say intertwining your fingers with his. "I know so...I can feel it" Oscar replied kissing your cheek. 6:30 pm rolls around, Oscar is in the backyard grilling some carne asada and chicken while you we're inside finishing up on the rice and beans. You started to feel anxious yet excited to find out the gender of yours and Oscar's baby. Your thoughts get interrupted by the doorbell ringing "coming!!" You yell out. Unlocking the door and swinging it open to reveal your mom and dad who you haven't seen in 3 1/2 years. "Mom!" You say as you extend your arms to hug your mom as she does the same. "Dad!" You go in to hug your dad. "Wow mija you look great!" Your dad compliments you. "Thanks dad" you reply. Welcoming them inside as you offer for them to sit down on the living room couch. You texted Oscar letting him know that your parents had arrived. You turned off the stove as the rice and beans been cooked to perfection. Sitting down next to your mom as she places her hand on your belly. "The baby is growing just well mija" she says with a smile. "Thanks mom!" You replied. "Mommyyyyy!!" Ritchie yells as he runs inside from being in the backyard with Oscar, Oscar follows him from behind. He greets your dad then mom with a hand shake. You notice Ritchie is in his "shy mode" he usually gets in when new people are around. "Mijo don't be shy this is your grandma and grandpa" Oscar speaks out. "Yeah baby these are mommy's parents!" You say next. Ritchie holds your arm tighter as you pick him up and place him on your lap. Your mom says hello to Ritchie as your father tries to do the same. Ritchie hides his face in your chest. "He just needs some time to warm up it's ok" you reassure them.
*1 hour later*
It is now 7:30 pm everybody is socializing in the backyard with music playing hip hop songs from the 90s. Oscar was chopping it up with sad eyez as well as other santos while I was sitting with Shyla, Ana and your other homegirls as they update you on some ongoing chisme (gossip). You were afraid that your parents would feel out of place when they come over but they actually are enjoying their time talking to Geny and Rueben Martinez as well as abuelita. It was finally time to reveal the gender of Oscar's and I's 2nd baby, the nerves were rising but excitement too. Tia Geny brought out the gender reveal box with balloons inside and placed it in front of you and Oscar. "Okay guys 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1!"

Pink balloons appeared as soon as you and Oscar opened the gender reveal box. Everyone began to cheer and clap for us, I looked at Oscar with tears forming in my eyes tears of joy. You basically threw yourself onto Oscar and engaged in a hug as he hugged you back placing kisses on your head then your lips. "We're going to have a lil princessa!" Oscar spoke out. You broke the hug as you hear your parents come up behind you "congratulations mija!!" Your mom said. "Thanks mom" you replied giving her a hug as well as giving your dad a hug as well. You saw sad eyes and other santos congratulate Oscar. Then you see Ritchie running up to you "mommyyyy!!!" He said as he ran to you, latching on to your legs you bent down slightly and placed your hand on his back trying to give him a hug. "Hi papi you're going to have a little sister! Are you so excited?!!" You asked him. "Yeaaahh when is little sister going to be here? Tomorrow??" He asked. You let out a little chuckle "nooooo not till a couple weeks baby" you assured him. He ran to Oscar as he picked him up giving him a hug. You just smiled at the scene that was happening right in front of you. As the get together went on you couldn't be more happier and excited to meet your daughter in just a couple more weeks.
