Everyone was running around frantically. The fire was out, it had nothing else to devour, since my castle was completely gone. The fire left a warmness in the air, my dress was torn up so that i felt a cool breeze brush against my legs.

A few people were scrimmaging through the ashes of my home. A group of generals were gathered where the north tower once stood. They silenced as i got closer.

"Okay men, tell me what's going on. All of it. Where's my father? Why is everyone lying to me?" I spoke with authority and leadership. The men looked around for someone to speak.

"You. Tell me." I pointed at the general with the most silver light badges.

"The Luminaries have kidnapped your father. They burned down the castle as a distraction. We are losing the war. Until your father returns, you are the ruler of Kingslum." He paused, "So what should we do my Queen?"

"First off, do not call me Queen, i am still the princess. Secondly, we are to create a new battle plan with the weapons my dad was designing."

I gestured at the silver light general to follow me. We walked to town, which was torn to shreds. "Do you see this?" I reached down and picked up a burnt doll, its light dress was flickering. "This once belonged to a little girl, who had hopes and dreams. Now where is she?" I pointed to a small corpse, a huge gash in her forehead shows the culprit on ger death. Glass surronded her, the light lining the bottom of her gown was broken and liquid light flooded around her.

"Your army did this. This could have been stopped. The troops need more training, and we need a new battle plan. But most importantly, we need a safer place for the survivors." I said as calmly as i could, trying to control my anger.

"Where could we go? There is no safe place, any where we go we are at risk."

"Into the mountains, there's a cave 30 miles east of here and at an elevation of 935 feet, it's big enough to rebuild a kingdom. It has two entrances, that can be gaurded. No one would be allowed in without a metallic identification card." I instructed, "construction will begin immediately."

The general wrote down notes in his data keeper. When he finally looked up, i dismissed him so i could spend some time alone.

I sat down on a rock and scanned the deserted town. A light breeze blowed through, and the smell of death and smoke rolled past. I heard an animal's footsteps echo through the ruins. I sensed the animal had four paws, and was large judging by the loud sounds it was making.

"You look like you need some help," a voice said from the direction the animal noises were coming from.
