The morning after my date? Sleepover? Game? With Easton, I am back at work. 11:34am has already passed and Easton got his regular order, leaving the Shop with his charming smile. Tonight, Layla has already stolen me from my famous, 'Stay At Home, Watch Gilmore Girls With Harley, And Eat Mars Bars' night. It's quite the night, and I was looking forward to it, but I guess I'm going to the fair that Willowbook is throwing for the anniversary of when it was founded. Which was in 1822 by Cowyn Williams. We go every year, it's a crappy fair because this town is..crappy, boring, dull...but it's something to do, and to keep the spirit of Willowbook alive.

The Shop door slams open and I almost drop the coins an older woman gave me for her coffee. Cynthia runs happily behind the counter and up to me, squealing like a mouse. "Hey Cynth, what's up?" I laugh, handing the woman her coffee. "Have a good day" I smile.

"Dexter proposed!!!! Last night!!!" she hits my arm excitedly, doing a little twirl.

"Shut up! No way, that's awesome Cynthia!!" I hug her, and release a smile.

"I'm going to get married!!!!" she runs away again out the Shop door.

I laugh, turning to the next customer. "Hi, what can I get you?"

"Just three chocolate chip cookies please" a younger woman smiles then grabs a five dollar bill.

"Okay, three twenty five please" I grab the bill she hands me, and give her $1.75 back. Ivy walks through the front doors and waves at me. "Hey Ivy" I smile.

"Hi"

"Here you go" I hand the woman her cookies and she thanks me, leaving. "What time do you work till?" I watch her walk around the counter and grab an apron to wrap around her waist.

"Closing time, five" she puts on a smile.

"Oh fun, I get to leave at four!" I shimmy my shoulders into her arms laughing.

"Oh, shut up!!" she rolls her eyes, smiling. "Want me to take over?"

"Yeah sure, I'll restock some things" we switch places, and I start to restock cups, napkins, and coffee beans.

I finish up work a little later than I hoped, and rush to get home and change before Layla calls me wondering where I am. I put on some ripped jeans and my favorite blue hoodie. I grab some money, my phone and run out of my apartment, and into my car.

"I'm here, I'm here!!" I bump into Layla waiting by her car, where we agreed to meet.

"Two minutes late, unbelievable" she rolls her eyes, nudging my arm.

"Shut up"

She laughs, "Okay, let's go!" She links our arms, and we head into the fair, handing in our tickets, and getting neon orange wristbands. Layla and I once volunteered for a little farm in a fair once, that was in highschool though.

"You didn't invite Rowe?" I question, as we begin to walk around the fairgrounds. There's a Ferris Wheel, a Drop Tower, a couple large slides, two spinning rides that make you feel nauseous after, and some more rides.

"No, not directly, I mean he might be around here with his friends. But I thought it was our thing to do this so I'm keeping that tradition" she smiles widely.

"Awe, so sweet" I giggle.

"Thank you" she scrunches her nose. "Now, what ride first?"

"Definitely not the Ferris Wheel, we'll wait till it gets dark..so Drop Tower!"

"Deal"

We run over to the little line up so far, and wait our turn, scoping out people we may know in the crowd, or cute boys. Duh.
