"Proceed.." Queen Yn announced as all the court members sat in the courtroom to proceed with the judgments for today. To say that Yn was nervous would be an understatement. She had attended these kinds of judicial matters but this would be the first time she would make decisions.
The speaker came in the middle of the court and bowed in front of the queen.
"Allow me to present the justice seekers over here, your highness." He demanded while Yn slightly nodded.
Getting a green flag he waved at the public sector of the court and two couples came in.
A guard followed them from behind and held a small baby in his hand.
The announcer proceeded~
" Your highness, these women claim to be the mother of that child. We have been provided with the information that they both gave birth at the same time but only one baby was born. The nurse said that it is Shriya's son but the other couple refuse to believe since there is no trace of their own child."
The whole assembly was filled with murmurs.
Jungkook was as confused as everybody in the hall. Yn frowned at the couples.
"Introduce yourselves." She ordered.
One of the men spoke-
" Hail Queen, My name is Eden and this is my wife Shriya. " He bowed, followed by his wife.
The other man said-
"My name is Luther and this is my wife Julia and this couple is trying to steal our baby." He pointed to the other couple as Shriya shot back.
" That is our baby , stop lying. He stopped crying when I took him in my arms. "
They started bickering like kids as the whole assembly shifted their gaze from one couple to the other. Yn stared blankly at the ceiling wondering what could be the solution to this problem. She again looked at the couple and smirked a bit as an idea popped into her mind.
Their bickering was unnecessarily disturbing so she shouted.
"STOP! Respect the assembly and its rules." She said in a serious voice.
She looked over at Jungkook and ordered "General Kim Shin, get me an apple."
Jungkook frowned his eyebrows and stared at her. Why did all of a sudden she wanted an apple? He wondered.
"I think I don't need to repeat myself"
She fumed.
Jungkook asked a maid to bring an apple.
"We are here to seek justice and you are focusing on food, what is this, your highness?"
Luther complained as all the assembly members started supporting him. They didn't expect their queen to prioritise hunger over justice. Yn mentally scoffed at their reaction.
