"Alright, hope to see you there." a voice could be heard from your phone, before you hung up. It was now Thursday, one day before your training started with Heizou. You already felt nervous, but excited at the same time, since life gave you a chance... or rather the detective did.
You already told your friends the recent events, which went something like this...

On the phone call earlier it was Kazuha who invited you to go out with him. He was also your classmate back then, but you barely see him these days, since he's busy with studying.
You were quite happy about him inviting you actually, you kinda missed his company since you used to be close friends. You thought about all the things you want to ask him.
How is school?
Has anything interesting happened?
How have you been?
Will we meet up again?
Do you still like literature? and so much more...
Although this made you excited, you also realized that Heizou hasn't sent you a message since yesterday. You had to admit you were a little curious, because you thought you'd get a little bit more info on what will happen tomorrow, but you just figured he must be busy.
Besides, you have your own plans for today, it's not worth stressing out over this. Let's focus on what's about to come!

It was time to finally meet with Kazuha. You both agreed that he'd come to pick you up at 3pm, so you don't have to worry about being late.
You walked out the door and a smile appeared on your face as soon as you saw him waving to you from his car. "Hello, y/n!" he greeted you. "Hi!" you greeted him back, while getting in the car in the front seat beside him.
"So where are we going today?" you asked excitedly. "You know that nearby mall that just got renovated? I wanted to check that out with you." he responded with a gentle smile on his face, starting tha car. "Sure!"

It didn't take long to get there. Maybe because you both spent the entire ride chatting, which could make it seem like time went faster.
You were shocked by what you saw when you got out from the vehicle. "This place... it looks so modern now!" you exclaimed. "They did rebuild the entire thing after all." your friend said looking at the new building. "Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go in!" you started pacing towards the entrance.
Obviously, the inside was beautiful too. You almost couldn't believe that they event built a fountain in the center. "Wooow... so many things to check out!" you blurted out. "I know, right? Now, our plans are up to you. Where would you like to go first?" he questioned calmly.
"Hmm... though question. I guess we could visit some clothing stores, and a restaurant as well. Let's say we go into that shop!" you pointed foward, a little to the left. "Alright, lead the way."
You both walked into the clothing store, which turned out to be quite big. It had two floors! You and Kazuha accompanied each other, trying to find stuff that would fit you or him. You ended up with two shirts in your hand, while the boy wallked with three to the cashier. There was a short line before it, so you had to wait.
While you were waiting you noticed some very pretty jewelry on the side. Specifically a pair of earrings caught your eye. Sadly, you couldn't do anything about it, because you had to be careful with spending, since you were quite literally jobless... hopefully that status will change soon.
After you cashed out, you headed towards one of the restaurants. It was quite a neat spot to go to. The inside has been decorated very aesthetically. Kazuha found an empty table to sit down at, and you both ordered your foods.
"Y/n? I have to go use the restroom, but if your food arrives while I'm gone, you can start eating without me. Don't starve yourself, I'll try to be quick." the boy suddenly spoke up. "Oh, sure. I think I'll wait for you with eating though." you answered.
He got up from his seat, and left the restaurant. You were now sitting alone, by yourself. You decided to go and scroll through your phone, but you overhearing two people's conversation made that idea vanish.
"I really hope he can find him... I only just comissioned it today, but he already responded! Talk about good service." you heard the voice. "Well it's rumored that as young as he is, Detective Shikanoin is quite skilled at what he does." the other one responded. "I hope that's the case... My son went missing last afternoon and he's coming out to investiagte tomorrow. Apparently the cops are associated with him, so maybe they planned things together today."
He's going to investigate tomorrow?! But that's when my training is supposed to be... I'll have to text him about this later, because I don't know what's going on!
While you were lost in your thoughts, your friend came back, holding a tiny bag. "I'm back. And..." - he lifted the little paperbag up - "...I got this for you." he said, handing it over to you. You opened it, and saw the pair of earrings that you were looking at earlier.
Shock was written all over your face, while his showed that he's flustered. He was blushing. "Kazuha... You really didn't have to, oh my God..." you didn't know how to thank him. "I saw you looking at it earlier and thought I'd get it for you. I hope you can use it in the future!"
You were left speechless for a few seconds. "I appericiate it, thank you so much! I'll be sure to pay you back somehow!" you exclaimed, looking at him. "No no, you really don't have to, it's a gift from me."
"Order 47 and 48 is ready!" you heard someone shout from behind the counter.
"Let's get our foods, and enjoy ourselves." he smiled at you.
