"So um... Where to?" you looked at Mary. You were all standing in front of the gates silently, not knowing what to do. "There's a smaller barbcue place near the beach, and you can see the water from there! Do you guys want to try that out? I heard it's really good." she suggested.
"I'm in!" you responded happily and everyone else agreed too. You all started to walk towards the place.

"Mary, I'm actually curious about a lot of stuff..." Heizou suddenly said. "I mean like, how did you escape or what happened?"
"Actually, they did a pretty bad job at keeping me there, so I could've escaped anytime. Only problem is, they would've caught me. Which is why I took the opportunity to run away this morning, because they all left for some reason. I have no idea what they wanted." the girl explained.
"That's... that's weird. Did they give you food on these days?" Tomo joined. "Well of course they did, I would've died otherwise! Actually, not really, because if I was really desperate, I could've ran while they were there." she shared.
"You're speaking about this whole thing as if it's nothing big. You literally got kidnapped, how are you so chill?" you asked her, dumbfounded. It was very interesting how she didn't seem that bothered.
"Tomo taught me self-defense. Fighting tactics, all that." Mary simply claimed. "I sure did! I used to take martial arts classes with Heizou, so we know our stuff." The man proudly exclaimed. "Wait, you and Heizou used to attend to martial arts together?" you questioned him.
"Yeah, we both started in the same club. That's where we became pretty good friends. Sadly after I went to high school, I transfered to a different club from then on, so we didn't really meet anymore." the detective told you.
"Wow... I never knew that." you stated surprisedly. "Also, Mary, are you really that confident in your skills? I mean, what if they had weapons or something?" you now looked at her with a concerned look on your face. "Oh trust me, I think I'm very capable." the girl smiled at you.

Soon enough you all got to the destination, settled in quickly, then ordered some food. It was a cozy little place and the staff was awfully kind. You wished you could come here more often after this, because you felt amazing being there.
"I know this is kind of sudden, but what's up with you and Heizou?" Tomo suddenly questioned. "What do you mean?" you questioned him back. "Like... how did you meet? And are you two co-workers or like... in a relationship?"
You were a bit taken back from that, but you didn't have to worry about frozing for a second, because Heizou replied instead of you. "We met in a club at night! Her friend went missing so I helped her out and during our investigation there, I actually found her pretty promising, so I offered her a job. That job was being my detective partner!" he exclaimed, then put his arms around your shoulder.
"Yeah..." you were shocked from his sudden action so you stiffened up a little. He noticed this and immediately pulled his arms away, flustered. "I dunno guys... This seems like something else to me." Mary gave you a suspicious face.
"Now that you've asked that, how about you guys?" you tried to divert the focus from you two to them. "We've known each other since we were kids. Both of our families are heavily influenced by business, so it was all arranged ever since we were born. I know stuff like this isn't very common nowadays anymore, but it happened. Also, none of us are unhappy with this, we like each other so it's in our favor too." Mary explained.
"Arranged, huh... I'm glad that both of you were okay with it! Who knows how it would've turned out if you two didn't have feelings for the other one." you started thinking. "Oh no no, nothing would've happened then. I went a little overboard with specifically saying arranged. It wasn't like we had no choice and we were forced, it was just beneficial to our parents, really. They asked us if we were okay with it, we talked it through many times." she smiled at you.
"You guys have really nice parents! I'm glad it was like this." you smiled back at her.

About an hour of chatting later you all finished your foods, and decided to part ways. "Thank you for treating us!" Heizou looked at the pair happily. "No worries, it was to make up for my mistakes. Oh but don't get me wrong, maybe I'll invite you guys out another time as well!" Mary claimed.
"Before we go, Tomo, did you know that Kazuha is here?" you asked him. You saw the shock on his face as he looked at you. "What? Heizou, I thought you came with your family! And plus your detective partner, obviously."
"I never said that. I said that I'll accept your offer to stay there for the time being. We brought a lot of people. All of them are y/n's friends, and they know each other from high school." he shared with him.
"Not just Kazuha, but others too? Man, I really want to visit now, but I'm kinda busy... Oh, how about this! There's gonna be a local festival here on Saturday, we could all meet up there." the boy suggested. "I'd be happy to go! I'll tell the others about this as well." you stated.
"Thank you, y/n. It would be nice if I could have a talk with everyone again. Well then, hope to see you all there!" he waved, and proceeded to walk away with Mary, holding her hand.
"How about that Heizou?" you now looked at him, with excitement in your voice. "Lemme tell you, the festivals around here are awesome, I wouldn't mind coming at all. It would also be a nice opportunity for me to spend time with everyone and of course... with you as well." he looked away, then started walking back to the mansion.
