"Mystic Grill. Now." I looked down at the screen of my phone to see who had just called me. After all, most people said hello first. 'Bunny Muncher' was lit up in big letters and I sighed before placing the screen back to my ear, "Why?"

"Elena's in danger. Everyone there is in danger," He said simply, making me groan in frustration. Why was Elena always in danger? And why did innocent people have to get involved? I looked down at my unfinished homework and shook my head, "I'm on my way."

The Grill was a mess when I arrived. Screaming people were escaping, the bar was on fire, and chaos filled the atmosphere. I quickly found Stefan and Elena heading towards the bathroom so I joined them to find out what the hell was going on. I grabbed Elena's wrist so I didn't lose her in the craziness of the Grill, making her turn and look a me with relief. Strange.

Caroline was in the bathroom, yet she looked confused at our appearance, "Hey."

"We have a problem," Elena said. I looked at the two who still hadn't told me what the hell was happening, "What's going on?"

Stefan glanced at Care and me before speaking, "Jonas is here and he's after Elena."

Both Caroline and I were shocked, but she was more vocal about hers, "Oh my god!"

"Why is he after her? I thought he was on Elijah's side?" I asked. Elijah had trusted Jonas, so something must have happened to make him do all this. Stefan sighed, "His son died."

"Died?" My voice was unsure, as I knew there was more to it. Elena answered my unspoken question, "Daemon killed him."

Realization hit me as Stefan began speaking once more, "We have a plan, but I need to get Elena out of here."

"Well, what can we do?" I offered. I knew I had to help because if Elena died, so much chaos would ensue. Sure, things might seem better in some ways as we didn't have to worry about her. But, how do you explain to a thousand-year-old hybrid that he can' break his curse because a doppelganger was too dumb to make smart choices?

Quickly telling us the plan, Stefan, Elena, and I headed toward Jonas who was looking for the doppelganger herself. I pulled on Elena's arm to stop her from walking any further. She began yelling to catch his attention, "Dr. Martin! I'm so sorry about Luka. I never wanted that to happen, but...at least let us help you get your daughter back."

He walked closer to us, shaking his head, "Only Elijah can do that."

"You don't need Elijah," Elena argued, but Jonas just set fire to another bartop. I rushed up to him and grabbed his arm as he turned his attention back to Elena. before he could push me off, I began siphoning from him. As much as I could. All the while, he was murmuring a spell, one that made my whole body feel like it was on fire. But instead of breaking away, I stood defiantly against him and continued siphoning.
