Chapter 1

7 years ago  September 4, 1991

"Harry that is absolutely insane, why would Snape be targeting you?" i question

"I know that it sounds crazy, but during the ceremony, my scar started to hurt and Snape-"

"Snape did what? Looked at you funny?" i ask choking back a laugh. "Just because he was in a certain house, and looks scary, does not mean that he's all of a sudden evil." i retort.

Harry looks at me like i just slapped him, Hermione and Ron the same.

"Are you joking? You're really going to side with him?" Ron asks.

i look at them, "Well i'm not really siding, im just stating that he hasn't done anything to you and that you-" i ramble until i'm interrupted.

"Cmon, let's go." harry motions to Hermione and Ron, "You know, i really thought you'd be on our side about this, with your friends? Or at least that's what i thought we were."

"No guys, that's not what i'm saying." i shout after them as they leave me in the common room.

September 7, 1991

For the next few days they didn't sit with me, they didn't even speak to me. They would avoid me in class, they wouldn't even look at me when i passed them in the hallways, and people started to notice. I had been exiled out of my friend group.

The day went by pretty normal until professor Snape's class, he did target harry. I mean he called him out in front of the whole class and humiliated him for no reason. And I know I said harry was being paranoid but I really believe him now, and after class I was definitely going to talk to him.

Walking out, I waited by the door for harry. When he saw me though, he immediately sped up trying to avoid me. So I grabbed him by his robes yanking him slightly back.

"Harry, come on you can't avoid me forever." I say

"I'd like to." he says, trying to get out of my grip

"Look, I believe you."

"You what?"

"I thought you were just being paranoid, you know since you escaped death and all. But I defiantly see it now, he's totally targeting you." I tell him as I let go of his robes

"Well that's a relief, I really needed help in transfiguration and you're one of the top students in Mcgonagall's class." He smiles at me, partly joking

"I missed you harry."

"I missed you too, aurora, so did Hermione. She's been super mean to us lately, since she lost her only other friend and all."

"Well I did overhear that we're getting a new student in a day or so." I say

"Who told you that?"

"I've had so much free time, I've been eavesdropping a lot, I heard the twins talking about it and then some Slytherins were too."

"I hope that it isn't a Slytherin, they're bad news."

I only make a faint smile at his comment

September 9, 1991

The last 2 days had been going by like a breeze, that was until we got out new student. There was a roaring thunderstorm outside, and we were finishing dinner. she walked in with Mcgonagall . Everyones attention was turned towards her as she walked to the front of the great hall. Her hair was striking blonde, she had an upturned button nose and pale white skin with rosy cheeks. She looked to be our age. When she sat on the chair, the hat didn't even need to think before it shouted its answer.
