Limits

El stood and as they headed downstairs they heard the walkie going off. Will picked it up.

"CODE RED" Dustin screamed into the walkie.

"Dustin? Dustin what's wrong?!" Will said.

"Get to----- court-" Dustin broke up.

"Star court." El said. The pair headed that way as fast as they could. As they got there they saw the lights flickering. Will grabbed his neck.

"Something is in there." Will said. Suddenly Nancy pulled up with more of the gang.

"You got the code red too?" she said as she got out of the car. Will nodded. 

El zipped her hoodie. She had decided on not telling Mike about the baby because she didn't want to deal with him or his comments.

Jonathan opened the trunk and El watched as all her friends grabbed weapons. She sighed. She was so over this and to think it was all over and then see Papa felt like a punch in the gut.

The gang went in and almost immediately ducked down. There were lab workers everywhere and floating particles everywhere.

They made it around the mall until they got to the Scoops Ahoy and saw everyone there hiding. El made her way to Max who was shaking.

"Hey." El said.

"Hey El." Max breathed and hugged her friend. Max was getting some of the worst ptsd of her life.

Lucas had a hand on her at all times trying to help her. 

They all whispered as Will filled them in.

"The white suits. They are from the lab." El said. 

"You can take them out right?" Dustin said. Max shot him a look.

"What?" Mike said. Everyone was quiet trying not to let him catch on.

"I can do it." El said.

"El-" Max began but El nodded her off.

The lights were flashing everywhere. They felt the mall shake here and there.

"Something is here that they don't want here." Jonathan said.

"Something they can't contain." Nancy added.

"Fucking great." Steve sighed.

They needed to find it before it found them but not with all these workers here. El tied her hair back. She was sweating more than usual. She felt the baby moving around.

She slid a hand under her hoodie and shirt and rubbed as she shut her eyes. She was begging for different timing. The contractions slowed and El sighed. She looked over and saw Nancy looking at her while everyone else was talking. She nodded at El to ask if she was okay and El nodded back. Nancy had helped her more than anyone through this. When Nancy found out she came over every day to talk with El. El was laying in bed moping for most of it but it never stopped Nancy from coming over and talking to her and explaining everything. 

El came over to see what the guys were putting together. Robin had drawn out the entire mall and they were making a plan to get around. Max added things that she thought they had done wrong the last time.

She broke them into groups. Suddenly Eddie slid into the scoops ahoy.

"You're late." Dustin bitched.

"Sorry this place wasn't easy to get into." Eddie bitched back. He slid in next to Steve. "Catch me up?" Eddie asked.

As Steve caught him up the gang kept adjusting their plan.

Suddenly the mall shook again. Steve explained to Eddie all that was going on. 

"Whatever it is they had to have created." Eddie said. Will watched El go white.

"No. They found it and can't contain it." El snapped. She sat away from everyone after that. She couldn't bare the thoughts going through her head from Eddie saying that. Teddy's dna was set and solid they couldn't change it. Even if they tried they couldn't. El swallowed the throw up that almost came out of her. 

She wiped her eyes when she felt a hand on her shoulder. Lucas sat next to her.

"I miss him too. I know it's not the same but we've gone out and looked for him." Lucas said.

"You did?" El asked.

"All of us. I won't lie I don't know how we're going to do this without him." Lucas sighed. "If they have him you know he's fighting to get back to you." Lucas said.

"What if he isn't what if he is there in my place?" El said.

"Then you know he's doing it willingly." Lucas sighed. El leaned her head on him. "For both of you." Lucas said. El took his hand.

"I'm so scared." El admitted.

"It's going to be okay. I promise. After this I want a worlds best uncle shirt." Lucas smiled. El grinned. The mall shook harder than before and it was followed by gunfire. The two turned back and looked at the gang.

"El, think you could take out a few lab bitches?" Robin said. She nodded and came back over to them.

El peeked over the counter. She felt Will take her hand. She extended an arm and as a worker walked across the other side of the mall El snapped his legs. They heard guns and all ducked down in panic. 

"She's here!" they heard a man yell. They heard the intercom of the wall slowly come on.

"Hello Eleven." a voice said.

"Papa..." El said shaking.
