This is going to be hella rushed purely because I hate writing the train/sorting and all that good stuff.

September, 1st, 1971,

"Susanna Mae, get your arse up."  My mother scolded ripping the blanket off me.  The air was chilly and crisp, I hated it.

     "Mum."  I groaned.

"Do not 'mum' me, young lady, up."  She said swatting my leg.  I swore I saw her take out her wand.

"No no I'm up."  I sat up so fast my head spun, "Shit."  I mumble rubbing my forehead.

"Dont think I didn't hear that."

     "Sorry."

"Get dressed, breakfast is done."  Mother said heading to the door.  "And thank Hannie for packing your trunk missy, I told you to do that yesterday, but Merilin forbids you ever listen."

Breakfast that morning was cold soup from last night, given it was warmed up but I came down too late.  Clay wasn't up yet but his soup was still warm.   Johanna entered the kitchen, eating some toast, of course, she wasn't going to eat this dog water.

"Thank you, Joey."  She raised a questioning eyebrow at me, "For packing my trunk thanks."

She nodded, "Welcome."  She bit the toast again.  "You want me to make you toast?"

     "Yes please."

    "Hey, girl."

"Hey."  Joey sat in the seat across from a blond boy.  "Sit Susie."  She motioned for me to sit next to her.  "Kelly this is my little sister Susanna."  The boy smiled at me, mouthing 'hi.'  "Susie this is my freind, Kelly Brown."   I nodded at him, offering him a smile that I knew must look awkward.

"Susie doesn't talk to new people,"  Joey explained.  "You have to let her warm up a bit.  Then she'll chat your ear off."

"Haha, that sounds alot like my cousin, Drew, crazy dude, but is shy."  He said, blue eyes glistening with happiness.  "So Suus, Im allowed to call you that?"  He asked.  I nodded not looking at him.  "Alrighty then Suus what house do you think you'll be in?"  I didn't answer I couldn't make myself answer, my heart was beating at a thousand miles per minute.  My palms were sticky with sweat and that's all I could think of.

"I'll give you all the time you need, no sweat."

"Hufflepuff."  I blurted out without thinking.  Did I really think that would be my house?  Um well no it wasn't.  "Sorry."

"No problem Suus, I think Hufflepuff is a wonderful house,"  He leaned forward in his seat to lean on the table.  "I'm a Gryffindor if you couldn't tell."  I didn't even realize I did it but I giggled, God, I hate that word.

"She most definitely could tell Kel."  Joey cut in smiling.

"Robertson, Susanna."  I stepped up to the stool and sat down.  McGonagall put the hat over my head.  The hat didn't even hesitate to bellow out "Gryffindor."  4 people cheered the loudest.

"I'm Marleen McKinnon."  A blond girl said offering me a smile.  She slept in the bed next to mine, closest to the door.

"Susanna,"  I mumbled, I could hear my heart beating and wondered if anyone else could.

"Mary MacDonald."  A dark-haired girl said, throwing herself into the bed beside me, causing me to whip my head in her direction.  I offer her a smile.

"I'm Lily Evans."  I kind of looking girl said from the bed next to Marys.

     "Dorcas Meadows."

"I'm going to call you Dorkas ok?" Mary said cracking a large goofy smile.

    "Go ahead I don't care."

"We're going to be great friends."

     "Definitely."
