The phrase repetitively circled my brain and I was going to die from nervousness.

What if Tam didn't like me back?

He likes Biana, not me.

He will never like the brown-eyed freak whose DNA was manipulated and who grew up in the forbidden cities.

Everybody stood up and closed their eyes as I silently turned to face Tam.

I stopped his face centimetres from mine before I bundled up all my courage and shoved it at Tam.

He flinched but didn't pull away as I pressed my lips against his savouring the moment before I pulled back.

He wasn't frowning so that was a good sign.

I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't hear the person creeping up behind me until they had their hand over my face.

I thrashed, but it made no noise.

Mentally cursing that the carpet that Edaline had installed  a sound catching carpet after one of my many falls.

I had no breath to scream for their hand was covering both my nose and mouth with a cloth which, caught sound?

Therefor I couldn't make any noise when I felt a sharp pain in my arm. 

It was open and bleeding and it felt like I was being continually stabbed all down my arm.

I was in so much pain that I barely felt the additional pain when they slashed my cheek open.

It felt like they were carving it open, and then filling it with something like salt.

I was in agonising pain and when they light leapt away I barely had enough breath for one scream.

I let out the loudest, most bloodcurdling scream in history and I blacked out before I could see my friends horrified faces.

Tam P.O.V

My crush was on the floor and had blood seeping from her arm and face into the carpet.

I ran to her and just beat Fitz who got there a second after me.

We glared at each other for a few moments battling with our eyes before he pulled away and i quickly snatched Sophie up bridal-style.

I levitated both of us through the house with my friends running behind me.

I could faintly hear Lihn calling Elwin through tears and telling him as much as they knew about the extent of her injuries.

Her blood was staining my shirt and I barely noticed only acknowledging the fact that she was losing enough blood for my shirt to be stained red and drip as well as her.

A long red line of blood trailed behind us to the leap master where our friend quickly made a chain and we leaped to foxfire.

"Don't you f#$%ing die on me Sophie," I begged.

I was running again and made it audibly cursing the many hallways and wishing that the leap master was closer to the healing centre.

We made it to the healing centre where Elwin was waiting for us at the closest cot to the door.

Bullhorn started screaming his head off when we walked in and rushed over the the cot that I had just placed Sophie on and he snuggled up right next to Sophie.

Elwin visibly paled and yelled at us to get out and shut the door behind us.

Just before I closed the door on the way out I say Elwing heaping up a mountain of potions and  Elixirs and started forcing her to drink them.

We hailed Grady and Edaline and when they got to the hallway we were all standing in Edaline conjured up some extremely comfy and soft looking chairs.

The one meant for me never found me because I was already pacing and wishing that sophie was going to be okay.

Sorry for the short chapter I was just a bit pressured with homework. Highschool sucks.
