꧁Chapter 3: Meeting Bonten꧂
╭──────༺♡༻──────╮
.・゜-: ✧ :-A little girl giggles through the phone as both siblings attentively listen to their mother speak through the line...
"Yeah! It was sooo crazy! They had the audacity to even bribe me with a stupid candy!", mom snorted through the phone as my brother laughs. "I obviously didn't tell them your whereabouts you know? I'm not that stupid"
"But...they'll find you sooner or later. Bonten is the top criminal organization in Japan. Finding you through connections will be easy for them", brother say through the phone.
"I know. I just need to finish arranging all of the documents and I promise you that we will live a peaceful life...", mom said. Her tone saddening.
"We know!"
"All right I better get going now. Stay safe and remember-"
"Stranger Danger. Never trust or talk to strangers", we both spoke in unison as we all giggle. "Stay safe mom!"
We were both left in the care of mom's cousin for a month. His name was Hiroto. Mom's one and only sole relative in the whole wide world. We're currently staying in their house that was shared with his wife and daughter who was the same age as me.
"Y/n let's go play!", my face softens at how cute my cousin was. "Okay Ai-chan", that was my nickname for Adelaide.
࿇ ══━━━━✥◈✥━━━━══ ࿇ Few Days Later
Today was not one of those days. We were standing in front of our mother's bed in pure horror. "M-mom?", my hand shakily grasped her face.
Everyone was also there in the hospital room with devastation etched on their faces. Kikyo unexpectedly had an accident on the way back to Japan to pick us up.
We had just received a call early in the morning about what happened from her friend. How could this happen?
"Mom!!!", I completely broke down. "No! Mom wake up!! This isn't funny! We have to leave Japan right?! We still have to live peacefully...with you!! Wake up!!!", I cried in remorse and sadness dropping to the floor and holding her hands.
The people in the room couldn't hold their tears now that they have seen Kikyo's daughter completely breaking down.
Daisuke hugged me tight as I sobbed in his chest. He whispered comforting words to my ears until I fell asleep in his arms.
