Eddie was just sitting in class with his feet on the desk actively ignoring the teacher talking. He was more interested in staring at a certain jock that he had his eye on. If you asked he wasn't staring he was glaring. Steve had a bit of a reputation to say the least. He mainly ignored Eddie but it didn't stop him from having a little bit of a crush on him. Steve is the ultimate straight boy and Eddie knows this. It's not like Eddie has fantasized about him joining a play or a campaign every now and then..no of course he hasn't! Ok well maybe he's not as straightforward as Eddie thinks he is. He's changed quite a bit since last year. His best friend Robin Buckley is in theater so it's not like he hasn't came to the plays. He knows that they aren't a thing though because well robin doesn't swing that way. Eddie is the only one that knows this at least to his knowledge he is. Robin is also in band. She has a bit of a crush on her bandmate Vicky. Eddie is in A band not the school band like Robin is. He may be a nerd but he's not that nerdy. He's more of a metal kinda guy anyway. He was completely zoned out to the point he didn't notice the teacher till she came up and smacked her ruler on the desk. Which quickly made him look away from the burning eye contact he hadn't notice he and Steve were holding. He almost fell out of his chair due to surprise which caused the class to laugh at him. It's not like this is new though he's used to being laughed at and he's not mad about it either. If he's embarrassed or something he'll just make it a big dramatic thing. He likes making people laugh. It's in his nature. Atleast if they're gonna make fun of him, he can laugh with them. Anyway so teacher is lecturing him about paying attention in class, but if you asked him to repeat what she said he wouldn't be able to tell you a word. Finally she ends with saying "mind sharing with the class what's so interesting that you aren't paying attention?" He jolts back to reality and looks her in the eye and lies "I'm just thinking about the musical and how grateful I am that Steve Harrington has volunteered to join the play." He hadn't talked to Steve about the play at all and when Robin had tried to get him to join he told her no but if he was going down so was Steve alright?
