"Heard you have flying lessons today, Neville." I said, sitting beside the round-faced boy. He nods.

"You have yours tomorrow, right?"

"Maybe."

"Maybe? I overheard another Ravenclaw shouting about it earlier though."

I didn't answer him, just filling my plate with food. Neville already had a plate of food and returned his attention back to it. When I first met the boy on the train, he was nervous, always stuttering. Now, his stutter seemed to be gone, at least when he talked to me.

"Have you made any other friends?" I asked.

"Seamus and Dean. My dorm mates, along with Harry and Ron." He took a bite of his toast. "How about you?"

"Don't talk with your mouth full." I scolded. "And not really, Terry hangs around me a lot, I don't quite know how to feel about him. He's quite loud." I haven't mentioned Helena to Neville yet, just keeping it to myself. Other Ravenclaws have told me about her when I asked, but only referred to her as The Gray Lady.

Neville finished his food, standing up.

"I'll see you later Y/N. Seamus and Dean wanted to walk to class together." I nodded, waving him goodbye as I ate. He waved back, running up to the two who were waiting for him by the door. A sandy haired boy wrapped an arm around Neville, guiding the boy out of the hall. Another boy with black hair was on Neville's other side, laughing with the two.

I finished my breakfast quickly. Madam Hooch, a gray haired and yellow eyed witch, streamed into the hall, making her way towards the staff table for her own breakfast. I caught up with her before she reached the table.

"Madam Hooch?" I said, barely above a whisper. She must have the ears of a hawk because she turned her attention towards me.

"What do you need?"

"My name is Y/N L/N. I was wondering if there was a possibility of me being able to take my flying lessons with the Gryffindors and Slytherins?"

"And why should I let you do that?" She raised an eyebrow. I swallowed a lump in my throat, shifting my weight from one foot to the other.

"Well, you see, my friend – Neville Longbottom – is in Gryffindor and I have a feeling he'll be quite nervous at doing something new. So it's more so for moral support." I looked down at the ground.

"I don't even have to fly, you see. I can just sit in and watch and join the rest of my housemates-"

"I don't see why not. Filius has spoken highly of you. You won't fly today. But I will allow you to sit and watch the Gryffindors and Slytherins." She answered. I thanked her and left quickly.

                                                                     –Time skip–

The enclosure used for flying lessons was already holding nearly all of the Gryffindors and Slytherins. Several broomsticks laid on the grass, about a meter of space between each. Several broomsticks had bits of wood sticking in all different directions. Definitely did not look like something children should be learning to fly on. I wonder how many students have gone to the medical wing with splinters.

"I don't think Ravenclaws have flying lessons today." Hermione commented, turning her nose up and crossing her arms. Some people turned to look at me then looked around to see if more Ravenclaws would be showing up.

"Don't they have theirs tomorrow?" I heard someone mumble to their friend, who only nodded.

A familiar blonde head poked his head around the crowd that had started forming around me.
