high as shit

The next morning I wake up early and get ready in the bathroom so I don't disturb mikylee.

Jordan

gonna get some coffee wanna come?

kalynn

yes!

I sit on the couch until kalynn treads lightly down the stairs.

"im so glad you said yes I kind of didn't drive here" I whisper to her since most of the house was still asleep.

She giggles and follows behind me out the front door to the car. I hop in the passenger and she gets in the drivers side and starts the car.

She backs out of the driveway and heads towards the town. We catch up with each other on the drive there. We order our coffees from a small Starbucks and head back to the cabin.

"You should've seen him it was hilarious" Kalynn laughs. She is telling me a story about hoover wiping out on the paddle board yesterday.

We step out of the car and look at each other. There was a small blue car parked in the driveway where we previously were.

"Who is here?" I ask her. Must be one of their other friends.

"No idea" She tells me and we walk inside the house.

Weston is sitting on the couch and a brunette girl with short hair is sitting opposite him with her back to us.

"um hey?" I say into the open room.

The girl turns around, its lilli from the breakfast place. As soon as her head turns my eyes dart over to kalynn who's eyes are on me.

"hi" She says sweetly. I give a fake smile and make a break for my room kalynn trailing close behind.

Luckily mikylee isn't still sleeping in here, she must've gotten up while we were gone.

Kalynn shuts the door behind us.

"Dude what is she doing here" I ask.

"I have no idea, I didn't know that this trip was a hookup spot!" She replies with a frustrated sigh.

"well, lets just do our thing." I reply to her and she nods.

Not letting someone ruin our trip.

We leave the room to put our coffees in the freezer for a bit while we're doing other stuff.

kalynn goes upstairs to change while I go outside.

Mikylee and nick are sitting out by the fire pit smoking. I come up behind them.

"hey" I huff out taking an open chair by mikylee.

"Awh Jordie"

I stick out my hand hoping she will pass the joint to me. If that girl is gonna be here all day I will need it.

She does pass the joint to me, "What are you guys doing today?"

"everyones going to the beach." Nick tells me.

"I was gonna tell you this morning but you were gone when I woke up." Mikylee explains.

I just nod back handing the joint to nick to start a rotation. I sit with them in my own head in rotation till I feel high enough.

"Thanks guys ill pay you back for that" I tell the two of them then stand up.

"dont worry about it" Mikylee tells me and waves me off. I go inside and nobody is downstairs. They're probably getting ready for the beach so I decide to do the same.

I go into my room and shuffle through my drawer and pull out a reddish orange bikini and a long teeshirt and quickly change so nobody comes in and gets a nice show.

I head to the closet and pick out my sandals and slip them on. Then I go to the bathroom and grab a towel.

I walk out into the living room and see jake on the couch staring at his phone. I go over to him and plop down.

"hey" I say to get his attention.

"oh hey Jordan" He replies and looks up from his phone.

"excited for the beach?" I ask him. 

"yeah, I am finally gonna get a tan" He tells me.

I hold my arm out next to him.

"yeah you are super pale" I laugh.

He shoves me playfully.

Before we can say anything more Kalynn pops her head in the front door.

"We're about to head out"She warns. Jake and I get off the couch and head outside.

I just stand there for a moment watching everyone finish packing their cars up. We are only taking two cars since we're gonna have to pay to park for the day.

Kalynn and Nick are the two drivers but Im not sure who I'm going to ride with.

"how long of a drive is it?" I ask Jake who was still standing next to me.

"Steph told me an hour" He replies.

I nod and walk over to kalynn who is by the trunk of her car.

"who's riding with you" I ask her.

"aksel, hoover, Jake, and you I thought." She tells me slamming her trunk closed.

"sounds good to me." I tell her and hop in the passenger seat of her car. I pull out my phone and get comfortable. After a couple of minutes I look around outside the window to see whats taking so long and I catch a glimpse of Weston and Lilli in the backseat of nicks car, Lilli perched on his lap and my heart clenches. Then the car door opens drawing my attention. 

Kalynn gets in and is on the tail end of a laugh. She starts the car and looks at me, "They're trying to fix 6 people in Nicks car" 

"I saw" I say lowly. Then both of the back doors open and the boys slip in.

"you guys ready?" Kalynn asks us. We all give a variation of yes and she begins backing out of the driveway.

"hey can you get the directions pulled up" kalynn asks me while putting her phone on my thigh. 

"yeah whats the place called"

"text Weston and ask" She instructs.

I grab my phone and begrudgingly send him a message and he replies almost immediately with the address. I input it In kalynn phone, its a 49 minute drive. Then I hand the phone back to her.

I lean my head back on the headrest and stare out the window until I'm completely zoned out.

"JORDAN" I hear and whip my head to the backseat.

"huh?"

"oh my god finally" Askel laughs out.

"we were trying to get your attention for like 5 minutes." Hoover tells me. I just shrug and keep looking at them.

"we're asking whats wrong, you seem super off today" Askel finishes.

"im high as shit, I smoked with nick and mikylee before we left" I tell them and chuckle.

Aksel bursts out in laughter, "damn Jordan"

I turn around and giggle. The rest of the ride was super boring we just listened to music.
