(Ignore the timeline I fucked it up.)

I wake up to the sunshine in my eyes. I groan and stretch my arms. Nobody is in the room with me. Where did Weston go? I quickly sit up and adjust my teeshirt, the house seems quiet. I get up and leave the room hoping to make it to my room unnoticed.

"Hey" I hear kalynn. 

Fuck.

"Uh hey" I say awkwardly.

"lilli left" she says into the open air.

I just nod. But she approaches me and hugs me.

Her voice is muffled by my shoulder but she continues anyway, "were going on a hike today if you wanna come, a lot of the other people are leaving."

"yeah, I just wanna change and shower" I reply back softly. She lets so and I continue to my room.

Luckily mikylee isn't in there and im able to grab some athletic shorts and a ribbed tank top. And bless up! Nobody is in the bathroom so I am able to take a scolding shower.

Which quite possibly was the worst idea ever, as soon as I step in my skin burns. MY SUNBURN.

As I am brushing my teeth a knock rings out on the bathroom door. "Come in" I say with a mouthful of toothpaste.

Its Jake, "I figured you needed this." He replies and sets down a small green bottle on the counter.

I nod frantically and give him a rushed hug and he leaves the bathroom. As soon as I finish brushing my teeth I cover myself in aloe and sunscreen. Unfortunately I didnt bing any athletic shoes but I did bring some sandals that will get me by.

I quickly head back to my room to get my shoes then to the living room. Weston, Kalynn, Aksel, and Mikylee are sat on the couch in silence.

"Hey guys..." i start hesitantly.

"Hi Jordan" Mikylee says looking up from her phone happily. "I was just about to go looking for you, you ready?" She asks and I nod.

Everyone begins to head for the door when Weston stops beside me and hands me a bottle of water. I smile at him but continue walking to the car. I luckily get my assigned passenger spot and everyone else crams in the back.

Before even turning on the car kalynn connects her phone to aux, of course. When she turns on the car she has an early 2000s pop song blasting. Weston and askel start to sing along and I look behind me at mikylee who's recording them. "Weirdos" I mouth to her and Kalynn pulls out of the driveway.

"how long is the drive" I yell slightly over the music.

"10 minutes" Weston yells back at me.

The 10 minute drive was filled with as many songs kalynn could play, good or not. When we finally get there I am the first to hop out of the car.

Once everyone is out kalynn and aksel lead the way to the hiking trail. After a bit of hiking everyone develops their own pace. kalynn first loudly talking to askel who was behind her then me and mikylee chatting and Weston bringing up the rear. Which was dully noted by kalynn poking fun at how he was the most athletic yet the one in the back.

Wearing sandals has to be the worst idea I've had in a while , the amount of times I am tripping and almost breaking my ankle are ridiculous. the straps just don't hold my feet in right.

"Nick is just perfect I have to tell you about the other night" Miklyee is telling me when a tree root must've grown out of nowhere and I trip, my butt an inch from the ground when some warm hands wrap around my middle. Weston.

He didn't mention it and nobody noticed. And nobody noticed the 10 more times It happened until Weston was ahead of me holding my hand so tight I thought my ankles must've been made out of jello if he was that worried.

When mikylee notices she shoots me a glance saying, " I knew it" . But I shrugged her off and kept going. We already hiked 2 miles only 3 more to go.

"starting to think this was not something I should have said yes to" I said to the group.

'Were so close, and there's a cute little petting zoo at then end, baby goats Jordan!" Mikylee tells me for motivation.

I just sigh in regret. Luckily I didn't have to worry about falling anymore.
