Hearing the same sentence from parents makes you feel so low and insecure— it's just their words literally hit you deep into your heart. So painful. Imagine if you and your sister were trapped inside the house with fire and they needed to choose who's going to save first , they would definitely choose your sister— like why so unfair? Can't they save you two together ? They can just say that "we should save them both together because that's our daughters." there.. so easy and why can't they say that?

But you know they won't say that. You hate the fact that they only love your sister because she's good at everything. You mean , you're also good like her but in their eyes , she's way better than you. So unfair you know? Sometimes you will cry in your room silently— it just hurts you so much because they're trying to make you feel so worthless and ugly. Even your relatives always compliment her saying she's so pretty and gorgeous meanwhile you? No compliments.

Way back in high school when you got high grades , they just ignored you and when your sister got high grades? they went out and gave her gifts for being smart while you were at home..all alone. You just don't know why they're treating you like this.

So unfair.

It's been years and now , you're married and living with your husband. You still love them despite being so unfair towards you. You sometimes call them since you miss them but it seems they're not interested in talking with you. Just "yeah" and then "Bye".

Your husband didn't know your past and on how your parents treated you , you just don't feel like talking about it. You don't want to describe your parents in that way in front of him so you decided to keep it to yourself and grow up like nothing happened.

4 months ago , you both got married. They were there and you love the way they support you and your husband but you know deep inside your heart that they're not interested in your life. They were just acting in front of your husband and his family— you know, tryna be a good parent. But also you were so happy , even though their reaction that time was fake your heart enlightened up because of their soft action.

You want them to love you too but it seems it's impossible for them to do that which you couldn't even understand. You didn't get a chance to ask them why they keep comparing you to your sister. Ever since you're 9 , you understand them being biased towards your sister. "Why can't you be like your sister?" That word keeps repeating in their mouth whenever you make a tiny mistake. It's always her being so perfect.. perfect because she has everything you don't. You can't do anything about it and just keep quiet about them always comparing you to your sister.

It's already 7 pm and you're cooking for dinner. While cooking , a pair of arms suddenly wrapped around your waist which startled you a bit. "Oh gosh.." you had a mini heart attack but soon your mini heart attack went away because you heard him chuckling while he put his face on your shoulder. "I'm sorry baby , did I scare you?" he asked as he pecked your cheeks softly.
"Kinda?" he chuckled again , smelling your scent when he had a chance.

"I'll help you.." and he started helping you. That's your husband of course , he's good at everything— like literally everything. He's always soft and so sweet to you , he always took care of you , giving you love that you deserve. He just loves you so damn much.

"Is the food okay?" you're now eating with him since the food is done. "Uhm.. kinda salty? But it's fine.. I love it." you know he's lying. "Gimme that.. I'll make you another—" "Baby.. it's fine. I love this and you don't have to do that. I'm always fine with your food." He stated as he started eating again.

"I'm sorry.. it's just that I'm not good at cooking."

"Baby.. what are you saying? You're literally amazing and you cook so damn well. It's just this time it's kinda salty but it's still good.. like so freaking good." he shows his thumbs up smiling at you with those bunny teeth.
