Frostbite chapter 4

You wake up to someone knocking on your door you turn over reaching for your lamp to turn it on,when the light flips on you sit up and stretch,you look at the clock it reads 2:00 you get up and leave your room,your parents still aren't home you walk down the stairs and to the door you open it to see,Rod the ice cream man.you go to slam your door back shut before he can do anything but he stops it with his foot, he pushes you back into the house and closes the door behind him you start running up the stairs while crying all you could think about was what was he going to do to you, you go and lock your self in your room,why was he in your house,what did he want from you. But you fell asleep at the end of your bed were you were hiding.When you wake up your still in your room you thought maybe he left,so you opened your door and looked around,you didn't see or hear anything so you thought it was safe you walk down to the kitchen when someone grabs your shoulders "GOTCHA" someone yelled behind you,Rod he laughed,he thought that it was funny that he had scared you, he looks at you and realized that you were crying he hugged you "Im sorry I didn't mean to scare you that bad" "he cares?" You thought to yourself. "But he kills people and he cares about me?" You kept thinking.when he let go of you he sat you down at the kitchen table, "what do you want for breakfast" he said as he slung the refrigerator door open,you didn't say anything you just stared at the table.he turned around and looked at you. You stared at him until he started taking his mask off.
