NOTES!
this book is something i've thought about doing for a while. then i did it, re-wrote it twice and decided it had no point to just sit in my drafts. in no way am I saying this is a work of literary genius and it just had to be shared. it's far from that. I just wanted to publish it because I'm still quite proud of it - no matter how bad it is. plus, it's an opportunity to learn and grow in my writing skills too while I repetitively listen to taylor swift for hours on end. so, why not?
though, if you do decide to continue with the book please remember these four things;
i. i already know that all the songs on folklore aren't about the love triangle in 'betty', 'cardigan and 'august'. therefore, comments like "TLGAD isn't about Augustine, it's about the woman who owned Taylor's house before she did. You're not a real Swiftie!" will be completely ignored and - if I feel mean enough - shamed. you have been warned. :)
ii. this is my interpretation of the events in the love triangle. this does not mean they are correct and do not count as part of the story - the only person able to tell the true story is Miss Swift. you are free to believe what you want but if, for some reason, you feel very strongly my version is the true story, do not push these beliefs upon anyone else. everyone has their own opinions.
iii. slight lead on from ii. but, if you do not agree with my version of the story don't feel free to tell me it's wrong. if you disagree with my version there's a wonderful button to click off my story that i advise you to use. that's not me saying 'you don't get an opinion - it's my way or no way!', I'm saying 'don't tell me I'm wrong when no one knows what's right'.
iv. if you're commenting, don't be stupid. this is a simple one really - just be a decent human being. no hurtful comments, no discussion of sensitive topics - unless there is a clearly stated warning and reason for the conversation - and no denying Swifties. one thing I hate about Swifties is if you don't know enough or don't have merch then some people don't consider you as a Swiftie. don't do that, it's dumb. plus, you don't need to be a Swiftie to read the book.
basically, be a good person - at least for a little while.
disclaimer: i do not own the folklore album, characters or lyrics used in this book - they all belong to taylor swift
warnings will be added at the start of the chapter
now that that's over you can keep reading and i hope to see you later :)
happy reading,
Peri <3
