I was sitting on a park bench, sketching a girl I found an interest of, when Rui sat beside me.

"Hey Sonia! What you doing?" He leaned over what I was doing, surprised about my drawing.

"Found a hobby I'm good at, what about you? What are you doing on a Park bench? Shouldn't you be studying right now?" I chuckled, continuing to draw.

"I should study? Why should I anyway?" Rui answered.

"We have an exam tomorrow, It's a science exam. If you don't mind me, I'm done drawing now, I'll see you later. Have fun studying Rui." I conversed, walking away to my house.

"I'll see you later Soffi!!" Yelled Rui, as I chuckled.

I was back at my house, it was like a vast space of emptyness, nobody was home except for my maids, butlers and servants. I walked up the stairs carefully.

Right when I got up to my room, rain started to pour, It tapped on the roof like people tap dancing on the roof. I put my headphones on, and turned on some music. That way I can focus more on studying, instead of focusing on the rain.

A few hours later, I got hungry, and went downstairs for a snack, when I got on the last step, I saw Rui standing by the door, drenched like a wet cat.

I rushed over him, and panicked, "Are you okay? Did this happen just now?"

"I'm fine Soffi, want to study together?" chuckled Rui.

I hit him slightly, "You idiot, you got me worried, and yes, we can study together, AFTER you get dried up."

He followed me to my bathroom, and I took some towels to dry him. After he dried up, we started studying in my room. But I still didn't get that snack.

The next day, we walked to school like normal, we sat on our seats, when I noticed, Rui looks tired.

I questioned him, "Hey, are you alright? Are you okay?"

Rui replied, "Totally fine, got tired last night because of studying."

The teacher came in, and handed us the test papers to pass to the back. We started on our exam, until the whole day finished.

I laughed, "You look like your body's on life support, what's up? I know this nearby cafe, we can talk there."

Rui nodded, as we walked there, I started talking all of the things to him. We arrived and ordered food.

I kept talking, when I heard his head bang on the table. I was shocked, he was never this tired.

I placed my bag on his head, and continued to eat my food, I made takeout for his food, called my driver and let him sleep in my car.

The next day, he woke up, and went out of the guest room.

"Morning Sleeping Handsome, how's your rest?" I chuckled.

"Wait, did I really fall asleep here?" Rui was shocked.

"Yes, you did. You fell asleep in the cafe. What kept you tired anyway?" I chortled in joy.

"You really want to know? Mom wanted me to take a different course in college, she wanted me to take engineering. So I had to go STEM." He articulated.

"I've met your mom tons of times, she's really nice. What happened?" I clarified.

"She's nice only to you. She hopes someday to be rich. I wanted to choose marketing though." He replied.

"Then I'll give you a scholarship, name it I'll give it. Rui look, I believe in you and your future. I believe in mine too. Don't give up in your own dreams." I acknowledged.

"Alright, I guess I do want to  study Marketing. Thanks for the advice Soffi." He smiled at me.

"Anything for you Rui." I smiled back, leaning over the seat next to me, signing him that he should sit next to me.

I scruffed his hair, getting fluffy by the second.

"You're like a rabbit, you know. Fluffy hair?" I laughed again.

We both shared a few thoughts, until we were done eating. After we ate, we hung out the whole entire day. We talked, played random games, Studied, etc.

The whole day, was our day. Little does Rui know, our fun days were going to be over, as soon as I move to the states. Maybe I'll give him a Marketing Scholarship that's in the states too, so we can have fun.

But either way, it wouldn't happen, there's no summer breaks in college, and even if there is, I would still be stuck doing tons of busy stuff.

After Rui left, I told my mom if we can talk.

I spoke, "Can't I find a College here in Europe mom? Can't I stay with Rui?"

"No, there's not a lot of good colleges to attend here Sonia, plus if you do stay with Rui, he'll ruin your reputation, and will make you distracted from all your school works. I advise you to stop hanging out with him, or your grades will drop." She scolded me.

"Come on mom, I'm a senior. Almost practically an adult, let me live my life, let me be me!" I fought back.

"Are you complaining? You want to go back to France? Where it's poor and dirty?" She yelled.

"France isn't poor mom, plus, Rui is a great guy. He wants to study Marketing!" I yelled back.

"Young lady, this is why Rui's mom is right! He should study engineering, so he could be rich. Like us! Everything you want you can get Soffi, remember that. I still can't believe you're friends with him." She muttered the last sentence.

"I'm not going anywhere with you. I can go to the States, but you're not coming mom." I pouted.

She challenged, "Oh yeah? Who pays for your allowance, who pays for everything you have, who took care of you the moment you were born?"

"The maids did mom! You were never there for me. You're always at work, I wish you never existed!" I yelled ---- storming up to my room.

I texted Rui to meet me by the oak tree by tomorrow, when it was sunset. After that, I fell asleep to some music.

3rd person's POV:

Sonia's dad stepped in the room Sonia and Sonia's mom fought in.

He said, "You should be really easy on her you know, she's just a teenage girl."

Sonia's mom yelled, "Just a teenage girl!? Didn't you hear what she said? She just said she's an adult already?!"

"She is a senior honey, she never said she was an adult, calm down. Don't ever say France is a poor country okay? Just stay calm." Sonia's dad replied.

Sonia's dad opened the tv, and watched tv with Sonia's mom. Sonia's mom calmed down, and fell asleep.
