For a month this summer every single day, you go check the mail on the doorstep. You have to know if it will be here. As a half-blood you know very much about Hogwarts, your mother being a witch and your father being a muggle. Your father got lung cancer over a year ago, he died a few months ago.

You step outside, the cold morning air greeting your warm body; you shivered lightly. You bent down and picked up the mail, you shuffled through postcards, bills, checks, and lastly you find the thing you're looking for. Its here, your Hogwarts letter has finally arrived, you internally squeal. You quickly ran inside shutting the door on the way, you set down everything except your Hogwarts letter. You ran up the stairs to show your mother, you knocked on her bedroom door.

"Come in...," she groaned, clearly not ready to be awake yet. You walked in, proudly holding up your letter. Your mother sat up and bed and looked at you with the sweetest smile, "I'm so proud hun." She pat the bed beside her, telling you to come sit. You go and sit next to her. She starts explaining what the first year at Hogwarts will be like. She explains what you'll need and how you'll get it. She says how you will go to Diogon Alley later today.                                                                                                       Your mother explains to you where everything is, and what to get. Diogon Alley stresses her out, she lent you money and let you shop. You went to the wand shop first and then headed to the pet store, after words you chose to get fitted for your robes. You stand there looking like an idiot waiting for someone to measure you. You glance around the shop hoping to find an employee, but instead of that you find a boy with platinum blonde hair and dazzling blue eyes. He turns and notices your gaze, he starts to walk over to you...-to be continued-
