II. Tears Of Fear

"You can go on, Y/n. I'll take care of everything here, you're free." Lord Arlechino said and I felt a relief. "Read every books you want." but I feel shy for letting her go to the meeting alone. I am her assistant and I should suppose to assist her no matter what.

"But Master... I suppose to assist you in everything." She smiled and cupped my cheeks. She rub her thumb on mine and kiss my forehead. Master Arlechino is always so gentle.

"You have assist me, Dear. Besides you are jot that needed in that meeting, so I will be alright. Go and read everything you want. I know you wanted to get some knowledge about cryo magic." I heard Lord Regrator's laughing a little.

"Yeah. Don't worry about it. You've been assisting Lady Arlechino since dawn." He gave me a bag of Mora. "You should have a good reward for fulfilling your duties. So have these, buy anything you want with it." He smiled and I felt shy.

Why are these two are good to me? For Master, I completely know why but for Lord Regrator... I wonder what is his motives.

"I-it will be so rude to... Refuse your offer. T-thank you." He handed me the bag of Mora as I blushed even more.

"You don't have to, Pantalone." Master said and sigh.

"Oh don't worry. That is just marely a little. Besides, entering the Library is not free."

"How do you even know about that? Y/n is a high ranking assistant-"

"Alrechino we will going to be late so let's go." He gave her an eye smile and looks at me. "Enjoy your break." He start to walk away.

"That Businessman. I know he's up to something." She glares as he walks towards the building where the meeting will be held. The bag he gave me... Is a little heavy. People in Teyvat, used to carry these currency around. And... It's troublesome and heavy. "I'll go now my dearest. Enjoy your break." My thoughts was cut off because of Master's gentle voice. She always treat me like this.

I thought she would changed once I became her assistant.

Reading, is something I love doing. Learning from them, Lord Arlechino taught me how to read herself. But... I wonder why she only let's me read educational books. I used to read the children about some story books too but they are too mild.

Not like I would like to read anything strange. But people told me I am a book worm so... They thought that I have read strong romantic books. I did... But.. I don't really... Like them. They are weird. Specially those romatic actions such as... Putting your lover's lips to yours and... Doing everything so sinful. It's not good for kids.

I am a caretaker of the House of Hearts and Master's most trusted person. I cannot allow myself to indulge with such a thing-

"You do enjoy reading, hmm?" I look up to see Lord Regrator who sat on the opposite side of the table. He got himself some few books to ready too. He looks at mine and smiled.

"I love learning... Anything that would prove helpful for Master." I whispered and continue to take some notes.

"You really are a good pawn... It is such a releif that she have you." He smiled and starts to ready his choice of book. I look at the cover and I figure out that it is a story base one.

"Is the meeting is over, Lord?"

"For my own business, Yes but for your Master, she's still there inside."

"You didn't left her aren't you?" I asks, I make it sounds polite and he chuckled.

"I didn't it's just we have different work. I indulge myself with anything finance while your Master takes care of everything around tye defense of our platoon." I nodded and I am still worried. Negotiations is not her... Favorite activity to do...
