Things happen but it still feels like I'm drowning,
Like I can't breathe and I feel a sharp pain in my chest,
As I'm trying to swim out of the deep shallowed water,
I just can't seem to come to the top of it,
I see the sun's rays shining through the water,
I try to stay hopeful as I can,
That one day I will get out of these drowning thoughts.
