Addie's POV
"Addie! Hurry up and get down here. Our company should be here very soon." my mother yelled up the stairs right as the door bell when off.
"Okay, coming."
I came down the stairs to see a blonde haired, blue eyed, boy standing by the door in ripped skinny jeans and a flannel. "Kinda underdressed, huh?" I joked while standing in front of him.
"Too bad I don't care, huh?''
I was about to say something back when my mom interrupted me, "Addie, meet Luke and and his mother Liz. Would you please show Luke your room until dinner is ready?"
"My pleasure." I sarcastically muttered while rolling my eyes as I turned and headed up the stairs.
I opened my door and waited for Luke to come in so I could shut the door behind him. He walled into my room and looked around. "Typical snotty girl room." he laughed to himself.
"Excuse me? I'm not snotty, thank you very much." I rolled my eyes and stomped to my desk and opened up Spotify on my laptop.
"Oh sorry Princess, didn't mean to hurt your feelings." he snarled at me while sitting on my bed.
"Don't call me Princess." I told him as I clicked on my All Time Low playlist. Weightless started playing and by Luke's expression he looked surprised.
"You listen to All Time Low?"
"Is that a problem?"
"Well,- Addie, Luke, downstairs!" my father interrupted whatever Luke was about to say.
I walked down the stairs and sat down next to my father and Luke sat across from me and next to his mother.
"So we have news you may or may not like." my mother nervously said while glancing between Liz and my father.
"So, we've been talking about this since you two were little and we have arranged for the two of you to get married." Liz explained.
My eyes bulged and I looked at Luke and he was glaring at his mother with a look of confusion and anger.
"Like an, um, like an arranged marriage?" I asked nearly choking.
"Yes, that's what it is."
"Why?!" Luke startled everyone with his sudden outbursts.
"Because that's how Addie's mother and father got together and they want the same for Addie."
"What the hell does that have to do with me? Why do I have to be apart of it?" Luke argued back.
"Luke! Do not cuss. You are apart of this because I think it's good for you. And you'll do as I say." Liz sternly told him.
"Fuck that." Was the last thing we heard before seeing Luke storm out the door and the door slamming shut.
