Addie's POV
I was up in my room thinking about this whole situation. How can they expect me to marry someone I barley know or love? I always imagined myself marrying the guy I've been with for a long time and the one that would love me for me. The one that I would tell everything to and knew everything about me while I also knew everything about him. He'd be my best friend. I could feel tears start to form and before I knew it tears came streaming down my face. Luke doesn't even what anything to do with me. This is a nightmare.
I unplugged my phone from the charger and decided to stalk his social media. I went to Instagram and searched his name. "@luke_is_a_penguin" popped up. I smiled to myself. That's pretty cute. I scrolled through his pictures and couldn't help but notice these 3 other boys. One looked Asian, the other one had really curly hair, and the last one had red hair. They were all pretty cute. I followed them all. Soon after I got a DM from Luke.
@luke_is_a_penguin: wtf how did u find me
@_loladdie: i searched ur name??? dumbass
@luke_is_a_penguin: watever leave me alone princess
@_loladdie: k
Luke is such an ass. I don't really know what his problem is or what I did to him. I decided to go to Starbucks and think about things. I grabbed my phone, headphones, wallet, and keys and walked down the stairs and walked right past my parents who were sitting on the couch watching whatever show was on the tv. I opened the door and right as I was about to walk out the door my mother stopped me.
"Addie? Where are you going?"
"Out." I harshly said and slammed the door making it obvious I was still mad about the previous events at dinner.
I decided not to drive and just walked considering we lived pretty close to a Starbucks. I plugged my headphones in and listened to All Time Low all the way to where I was heading. As I arrived I unplugged my headphones and stuffed them into my hoodie pocket and opened the door. I was greeted by the comforting smell of coffee and smiled. I loved coffee. I went up to the Barista and looked at the menu for a minute trying to decide what I wanted. I finally decided and ordered the new S'mores Frappuccino.
I walked over to a seat by the window while I waited for my drink. I saw from the corner of my eye that someone walked in. From curiosity, I looked over and saw a guy. I looked at him more and realized it was Lukes friend, the one that looked Asian. I was so caught up in looking at him that I didn't hear them calling my name that my S'mores drink was ready.
I could feel my face get hot as the Asian guy smirked and I got up and got my drink. I sat back down laughing and pulled my phone out. I was getting ready to text my best friend realizing I have yet to do that today until I saw someone sit across me.
"Are you the girl Luke has to marry?" the Asian asked me. I gasped.
"How'd you know?"
"Luke seemed pretty pissed when he came to my house with my other buddies and told us. You also followed me on Instagram." he winked. "Luke will come around. He said you're hot." he laughed and walked out.
