Sitting in the lobby fidgeting with my hands waiting to get called into Mr. Smith's office
what if you don't get the job, what if-
My thoughts get cut off, by my name being called " Ms. Garcia, Mr. Smith is ready for you." Getting up from my seat walking towards the black wood doors.
Walking into a homey but classy office "wow" I whisper silently to myself. Going to sit down on the opposite side of Mr. Smith. "Hi I'm Olive Garcia I'm here for the position to be your personal assistant." I state with a smile when I'm done talking.
" Blah Blah Blah. I know a lot about you Ms. Garcia, You moved From Cincinnati moved to New York for college, you graduated from Cornell University, majored in graphic design. But- all I need to know is if you have experience in this line of work." He states in a monotone like voice.
How does he know all this stuff about me?It's so creepy.
" Uhm- What do you mean by 'this line of work' sir?" I rushed the words out very quickly not wanting to waste too much of his time. " I basically just asked if you your a quick learner and memorize thing fast" Mr. Smith states, sounding a bit annoyed, and irradiated then the monotone speaking voice he was using before. "I can memorize things fast and learn quickly sir" stating very quickly.
Mr. Smith opens one of his desk drawers and grabs a piece of paper then puts it in front of me." Please write down your phone number and address. You'll start work on Monday September 12. I expect you to be here at 8 o' clock sharp and if you're even a minute late, you will be punished." He says with a different tone of voice a raspier and deeper even. I quickly obey his orders and write down my phone number and address.
"Yes sir, would you like me to bring you coffee or breakfast?" I started trying not to smile so hard I got the job. " Bring in a black coffee for myself and get yourself something sweetheart."
Grabbing something else out of his desk. Sliding me a black mastercard. "This is a Company Card. My phone gets a notification every time it's used so only use it when told." He states as I put the card in my wallet.
"Make sure not to lose the card please. Oh and you will be moving in with me next week around Monday or Tuesday so start packing."
