I woke. Damp air filled my lungs as I lunged to one side, trying to break through the old beat down casket that was containing me. I pushed my legs outwards creating a break in the casket, I guess it's do or die, I threw myself forward and out of the small hole in the bottom of the casket, with much difficulty I clambered out onto wet, hard floor. I couldn't remember why I was here, the last i could remember was sitting in a hearing about my people, they had decided to stow away one of the natives, to wake it thousands of years later, they would build a pyramid around the body after they had put it into a deep sleep, to be awakened that exact day, 5000 years later, after long debates they decided who to bury, me. Oh, so thats where i was. I guess i should give you some background to 'my people'.

Thousands of years ago, i was part of a race of people with purple eyes, we lived in egypt our whole life until we were invaded, thats when they buried me, to keep a part of the race alive for future generations, a mysterious light flashed in the sky during a moonless night the day i was born, thats when we changed, our skin was fair, we were thought to be spirits because of our appearance, we all had black or dark brown hair, and yes, we all changed, everybody, just overnight. They called it  Alexandria's Genesis, I was Alexandria, the mystery child born the night of the flashing lights.

Were any of my people alive? They were heading north, and they left me inside this stone pyramid. I felt around until found the wall, and ran my hand across until i came to a door, only openable from the inside, how i wondered what was behind those doors, i twisted the lock and pushed with all my might until the door flew open, and the place i used to call my home stood in front of me. It was dark, and silent, i walked out but even the small light from the moon hurt my eyes, i was weak, my legs were trembling and my head was hurting, i needed food, i had been hooked up to a machine that sustains you, but doesn't satisfy you, it got rid of waste, whilst keeping me completely comatose BUT living, until the set date to wake up, it fed my brain, and adapted my language to the language of the people living now, i hand't spoken yet, but my thoughts were, although i understood them, not the traditional way i used to speak. My father had created the machine, he was the cleverest man in our whole race, and the machine was at first shunned, but after the invasion, i was put inside to preserve the race,

I found a fresh water stream, which was hard considering it was dark, and i hadn't stood up in 5000 years, but i drank from the steam nonetheless, then collapsed in a heap under a tree. The most precious thing about or race, was that our immune system was solid, we basically were immune to disease, within reason of course.

I woke the next morning, and pried my eyes open, the sunlight burned my eyes, but my skin could not show sunburn. We were a peculiar race, and not many of us existed, i'm assuming it's just me now, unless one of my ancestors had children and passed the genes on. I looked around, what was this, none of this was here when i was put away, tall buildings surrounded me, and people filled the area, i rose to my feet, and started to walk to what all the commotion around the pyramid i was found in was, i looked down, i was wearing a dress they had put me in all those years ago, intricate designs in blue, purple and gold swirled around on the black fabric, my black hair was braided and tied at the bottom with golden strings.
