Y/ns pov
We had to leave our hometown in Missouri, I don't really know what to feel because I did not know many people there and all the people that I knew either didn't like me or didn't talk to me.

It's whatever though, when we finally got to North Carolina something seemed different, I smelt fast food, saw people smiling and hanging out with their friends. Back in Missouri in my hometown it was all clouds and fist fighting.

When we got to our new house I did not feel like home what so ever, it was a small two story house surrounded by trees, and it was two minutes away from school. It seemed cozy enough to live in but not as a home-home.

Gwen was excited the whole way. I can't blame her all her friends hated her ever since she wore the same bag as one of them and blah blah blah, fashion girl stuff.

I had earbuds in the whole way mostly listening to novacane by frank ocean and Beyoncé. The only reason I had them was because my grandma would either sing or give us one of those inspirational lectures about how it's good to get a fresh start.

When we first started to load our things from our car to our house I saw two boys walk by and wave, one had curlyish hair with a baseball uniform on, and the other was wearing a bandanna around his head.
I waved back and gave a slight smile.
Since the moving truck wouldn't be here until tommorrow afternoon I had to sleep on a blanket but I didn't mind. I made a TikTok of me lip syncing before bed because I thought I looked good.

I went to bed around 11 pm which is early to me but I needed to go school shopping the next day so I thought I would be a good idea to go to bed early.

The next day  I woke up around 6:30 because I thought I should walk around and try to see a full glimpse of the town. Gwen was still sleeping when I was ready but I knew she would like to go on a walk with me, so I woke her up and asked if she wanted to walk around with me. When she was ready we left.

"My feet hurt" Gwen said
"we will start heading back soon" y/n replied. "But it's already 7:30" Gwen stated

"we haven't even been walking for 40 minutes" y/n said with a slight laugh.

Someone then bumped into Gwen and y/n and they both stumbled back in surprise.

"Oh my gosh I am so sorry" ??? Said, "um- it's fine, who r u?" Gwen said with one of her eyebrows raised

"wait I have seen u before." Y/n said pointing her finger at the boy trying to figure out where she has seen him from.

"Oh wait, I saw u yesterday when u were unpacking." ??? Said, "yes!" Y/n said. " uh anyways who r u?" Gwen said "oh sorry I am finney" finney said. "Well I am y/n and this is my little sister Gwen, nice to meet u" y/n said pointing at herself then Gwen.

"Hello" Gwen said slightly waving, "nice to meet u both, but I have to go to my friend robins house, but I am sure he would like to meet u guys." Finney said smiling "uh sure we need to meet new people anyways." Y/n said

Finney then started walking towards his friends robins house which happened to be y/n and Gwen's neighbor.

"Woah wait ur friend lives here?" Y/n said shocked "uh yeah why." Finney said confused "well we live right there" Gwen said pointing at their house. "Oh yeah u do! That's cool" Finney said as he was knocking on robins door

Robins uncle opened the door and said "hey finney, one sec I gotta grab robin, hey shithead! Ur friends are here!" "Friends?" Robin said confused as he was walking down the stairs.

"Oh hey Finn, who's this. Robin said pointing at us. "Oh this is y/n and her little sister Gwen, y/n is the girl we saw in the house right next door unpacking yesterday." Finney said. "Oh yeah I remember, sup Gwen and y/n. "Hey" Gwen said. "Sup" y/n said

"Come on in guys" Robin said as he started opening the door wider. Before gwen had come inside she said "oh wait y/n, grandma wanted me to help her with something right now. I gotta go. "Ok be careful I love you.💕 " y/n said as her was giving Gwen a side hug "alright bye guys" Gwen said slightly yelling as she was running down the porch to their house.

"Bye" Finney and Robin  both said at the same time.
