A messenger from the Duchess of Toussaint appeared on a matter of urgency at the Corvo Bianco estate that morning.
Yennefer was in the kitchen learning a new stew recipe when abruptly interrupted by the herald.
"Good morning, are you the lady of the estate, one Madam Yennefer of Vengerberg? Wife of Geralt of Rivia?" He said, quietly panting.
"Yes?" she replied, contorting her head to the left slightly to see the Majordomo Barnabas-Basil stood behind him, who was visibly furious by the herald's intrusion.
"I have a message on matters of urgency from the Duchess of Toussaint, her royal highness Anna Henrietta for Geralt of Rivia."
"Well, he's not here at the moment as he's on business in the Skellige Isles. You can leave the message with me and I will tell him upon his return" she replied, pursing her lips and sighing under her breath.
According to the messenger there had been sightings of 'devilish fairytale characters' across Toussaint. Some witnesses named them as classic storybook creatures such as 'The Big Bad Wolf' and 'Thumbelina'.
Yet to claim any victims, Anna was horrified by the news and relayed her theories about the portal to the illusionary 'Land of a Thousand Fables' opening and releasing its contents to the real world.
Yennefer had only heard of Geralt's stories in this land, never actually having been herself.

Once the messenger left, satisfied his message was received in full, Yennefer darted upstairs to get herself ready for this magnificent adventure.
"Why does Geralt always get to have the fun?", she thought whilst applying her deep purple eyeshadow hurriedly. "I haven't left this estate in weeks and he's not shy of work so why can't I do it? Just this once"

Yennefer was ready 15 minutes later, wearing her white three piece, including her over the shoulder cotton top that opened at the bust, a plain white skirt with two slits on either thigh and a white leather corset Geralt had bought as a wedding present. As she came down the stairs fastening a white belt around her corset, she looked up to see Ciri was already stood at the door fully dressed, grinning immensely. She had overheard the messenger from her bedroom, deciding she too was to join Yennefer on her quest to the Fablesphere. This annoyed Yen, she liked to do these types of things alone, she found it cleared her head and allowed her to have some alone time from Geralts whining. In spite of this, her daughter was persistent and eventually she had no choice but to agree.

In regards to Keira Metz, Yennefer had no idea how she found herself in her company. On arrival, she was already there battling what seemed to be a troll. A powerful one at that as Keira was practically running for her life. Yennefer was in two minds on whether to leave Keira to her fate, as she hadn't taken much of a liking to her since finding out about her endeavours with Geralt. However, before she could decide Ciri jumped in slashing her sword around like a crazed fiend. She too hadn't left the estate in weeks.
