Hello Brennan!
It's August! I just wanted to let you know I made it to Rome! I'm staying at a local convent, and everyone here is very nice. I know father said not to write once we split up, but I wanted to check on you after... well, I wanted to check on you.
Speaking of father, have you heard from him recently? Again, I know he said not to converse, but he didn't respond after I wrote to the place he said he'd be staying. I just got my letter sent back with a very rude note written in strange handwriting not to write back to that address.
Well regardless, I hope you're doing well in college! I heard it's very fun from some of the sisters here. Oh! They also call the people here "sisters" because they're part of a church! The convent has taken me to multiple big, beautiful churches and everyone in there is always nice. I'm learning a lot from the people here! I seem to be running out of paper, but I'll have to tell you all about it if you decide to visit!
I think I'll end this letter here, but I wanted to let you know that I love you, and I can't wait to see you again at some point!

P.P.S. We'll get them back, don't worry. I talked to some of the sisters and they said they'd try to help me gather money to hire someone to help. Just focus on your studies! I can do this.
